This morning, March 20th, in A Vao commune, Dakrong district, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union - Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Tri province, in coordination with the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Provincial Red Cross Society, the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association, and the Provincial Young Doctors Association, organized the "March Border Month" 2025 program.

The "March at the Border" program is one of the activities aimed at concretizing the "I Love My Homeland" movement launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union every March in border communes nationwide, focusing on disadvantaged border communes. Over the years, the program has become an annual activity, effectively organized by the youth of Quang Tri with many meaningful actions.

Through these activities, the pioneering and volunteer spirit of young people is promoted in participating in socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security; caring for and supporting border guards and people, including children and teenagers in border areas. These activities are always recognized and highly appreciated by all levels, sectors, and the people, creating a ripple effect in the community.

Following those successes, at this year's "March at the Border" program, the organizing committee continued to implement practical projects and activities such as: Donating a "Playground for Children" and scholarships to underprivileged students at Mo O Primary and Secondary School with a total value of 100 million VND; donating 100 cartons of milk to students at A Vao Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School; donating a set of publications on reproductive health care, sexual health, preventing child marriage; preventing violence and gender equality to the Youth Union of A Vao commune to support propaganda work; giving 30 gifts to people in difficult circumstances in the area; visiting and giving gifts to respected village elders and the A Vao Border Guard Post; providing free health check-ups, blood sugar screening, osteoporosis measurement and dispensing free medicine to people in the area.

Speaking at the program, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Quoc Toan said that through the program, the organizers hope to contribute to raising awareness and responsibility among Youth Union members and young people in carrying out national defense and security tasks in the new situation. At the same time, it aims to promote the pioneering and volunteer spirit of young people in participating in socio-economic development; and to strengthen solidarity between Youth Union members and young people with officers, soldiers, and people living and working in border areas.

Therefore, we call upon all members of youth organizations and young people throughout the province to demonstrate their love for their homeland and contribute their youthful energy through concrete actions for the border regions of our country.
