The 19th Dedication Awards – 2025 has just announced its list of nominations, revealing the intense competition in the Vietnamese music industry over the past year. The organizers introduced 10 main music award categories, promising a dramatic and surprising Dedication Awards season.
Tung Duong is leading the race for this year's Dedication Awards with 4 strong nominations in important categories: Album of the Year (with Multiverse) , Program of the Year (the live concert The Singing Man ), Song of the Year ( Rebirth) , and Male Singer of the Year.
Tung Duong continues to lead in music nominations.
The multi-talented artist Vu also proved his strong appeal with 4 nominations, directly competing with Tung Duong in many key categories. His album "Museum of Regrets " earned him a nomination for Album of the Year, and his self-titled live show was also named in the Program of the Year category. His introspective song "Peace " secured him a nomination for Song of the Year , and he himself was recognized in the Songwriter of the Year category.
2024 marked a significant turning point in Tung Duong's career. No longer confined to familiar frameworks, this powerful vocalist boldly experimented, delivering works with a strong personal touch that resonated with audiences. He wasn't afraid to collaborate with younger artists, commission original compositions, and demonstrate a strong "rejuvenation" spirit at the age of 40, ready to reinvent himself to win over younger audiences.
Meanwhile, Vu continues to assert his position as a leading independent artist with his narrative and romantic Alternative Pop/Indie Rock style.

Soobin and Hieuthuhai are competing in the "Male Singer of the Year" category.
The Male Singer of the Year category promises to be one of the most fiercely contested. Besides Tung Duong, the list of nominees also includes big names with huge fan bases such as Son Tung M-TP, Soobin, Hieuthuhai, and Quoc Thien. Each artist has their own strengths, making the race unpredictable.
The Female Singer of the Year category, featuring Trang Phap, Hong Nhung, Uyen Linh, Orange, and Phuong My Chi, also showcases a diverse range of musical styles and personalities. From seasoned veterans like Hong Nhung and Uyen Linh to promising young talents such as Trang Phap, Orange, and Phuong My Chi, this category promises to deliver many exciting surprises.

"Brother Overcomes a Thousand Obstacles" has been nominated in the "Series of the Year" category.
The "Series of the Year" category also reflects the diverse landscape of Vietnam's performing arts market over the past year. From popular reality TV shows like "Brother Overcomes a Thousand Thorns" and "Brother Says Hi" to large-scale international music festivals like Hozo, programs combining music and entertainment like "Our Song Vietnam," and creative crossover music nights like "Crossroads of Time," this category showcases the richness and vitality of musical activities over the past year.
In the Sports category , there are four subcategories: Sports Personality of the Year, Sports Achievement of the Year, Young Sports Personality of the Year , and Aspiration for Contribution.
The "Sporting Achievement of the Year" category recognizes golden moments of Vietnamese sports on the international stage. Notably, the nominations include the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team winning third place for the first time at the FIVB Challenge Cup, the Vietnamese Men's National Football Team winning the ASEAN Cup 2024, and the Vietnamese Women's Futsal Team winning the Southeast Asian Championship.

Football player Nguyen Xuan Son has been nominated in the Sports Personality of the Year category.
The Sports Personality of the Year award honors athletes who have delivered impressive performances and made outstanding contributions over the past year. Three strong contenders for this title are Le Van Cong (weightlifting), Nguyen Xuan Son (football), and Trinh Thu Vinh (shooting).
The Young Sportsman of the Year category honors promising young talents who will be the future of Vietnamese sports. The three nominees are Nguyen Thi Huong (canoeing), Vo Thi My Tien (swimming), and Tran Thi Nhi Yen (athletics).
The 19th Dedication Awards Ceremony - 2025 is scheduled to take place on the evening of March 5th at the Grand Theatre, Hanoi .
