(PLVN) - In the era of globalization, worldwide reality has proven that the business environment is the most important factor for the development of every business in particular and the economy in general. While it includes many factors such as geography, population, culture, technology, and social stability, the most important element in the business environment is the legal environment.

When businesses plan to enter a new market, their first priority is usually to thoroughly research the legal system and policies of that country in order to decide whether or not to invest and to develop a suitable business plan.

Our country has developed to where it is today partly thanks to the Party and the State's very correct policies, guidelines, and regulations that have continuously improved the business environment, creating all favorable conditions for businesses, ensuring a "win-win" situation for everyone.

Currently, we have over 930,000 active businesses, approximately 14,400 cooperatives, and more than 5 million business households; these are the core force creating wealth and material resources, making significant contributions to economic growth, creating jobs, and increasing income for workers. Many Vietnamese businesses have developed into large-scale enterprises with global capabilities, even leading supply chains.

In major cities like Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, and Hai Phong, for many years now, businesspeople from Japan, South Korea, China, and other countries have come to invest and do business, considering Vietnam their second home; they have formed entire communities.

However, society is constantly evolving, so reforming the business environment is an ongoing process, requiring continuous innovation. The "Business & Law" forum, held today (October 9, 2024), with two of its main topics being discussions, answers, and collaborative efforts to resolve legal issues in the fields of taxation and real estate, is a testament to this.

The event, organized by the Central Council for Coordination of Legal Dissemination and Education, once again affirms that the Party, State, and Government always attach importance to and create favorable conditions for the development of businesses and entrepreneurs; in line with the guiding spirit of General Secretary and President To Lam at the 10th Central Committee Meeting of the 13th Party Congress, "highly unanimously determined to make stronger breakthroughs in institutional development, remove bottlenecks and obstacles, and put the people and businesses at the center."

Two days before the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Official Dispatch 103/CD-TTg dated October 7, 2024, on supporting businesses. The dispatch contained two important directives. Firstly, it called for continued and decisive efforts within the scope of authority to implement solutions and tasks aimed at supporting businesses in overcoming difficulties and obstacles; and for relevant agencies, in the process of formulating and issuing policies, to create a favorable environment to help businesses develop.

Secondly, it is crucial to proactively and effectively utilize our authority to meet with, exchange ideas with, and listen to feedback and recommendations from businesses in order to promptly develop goals, tasks, and solutions for development, support, and assistance. The "Business & Law" forum therefore takes on even deeper significance.

These days, the whole country is holding many activities to celebrate Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13, 2024) and Vietnamese Law Day (November 9, 2024). More than just a celebration, the "Business & Law" Forum is a practical event that concretizes the viewpoint of "removing bottlenecks and barriers, putting people and businesses at the center"; aiming for all businesses and entrepreneurs to increasingly develop, grow stronger, and conduct business effectively; together building a self-reliant and powerful nation; a democratic, progressive, and civilized society; and a prosperous and happy people.
