Recently, the University Medical Center of Ho Chi Minh City (UMC) organized its 6th UMC 360-degree program with the theme 'Healthy Mother, Happy Family' on the ground floor of Block A and online on the hospital's Fanpage, attracting hundreds of viewers.
The program aims to provide useful information about vaccinations to protect women's health, including pregnant women, and to guide them through the process of scheduling vaccination appointments and viewing health records via the UMC Care application.
Dr. Nguyen Huy Luan, Head of the Vaccination Unit at the University Medical Center of Ho Chi Minh City, shared this information.
During the panel discussion, Dr. Tran Nhat Thang, Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Dr. Nguyen Huy Luan, Head of the Vaccination Unit, and Dr. Nguyen Hien Minh, Deputy Head of the Vaccination Unit at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, shared information on the importance of health check-ups and vaccinations before pregnancy; the burden of diseases such as chickenpox, measles-mumps-rubella, hepatitis B, pneumococcal disease, influenza, and whooping cough on the health of pregnant women; and the vaccines that need to be administered before and during pregnancy. In addition, the doctors also highlighted issues that patients need to pay attention to during the postpartum and pre-menopausal periods.
Through relatable and humorous stories, the doctors explained in an easy-to-understand way how to care for women's reproductive health in the modern era, highlighting vaccination as a simple and effective preventive measure to help women, especially pregnant women, avoid unwanted diseases and ensure the safety of both mother and baby.

The doctors also answered attendees' questions about other issues related to women's health and pregnancy.
Currently, the Vaccination Unit of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City meets the needs of parents and customers with weekend vaccination services on Saturdays (6:30 AM to 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM) and Sundays (7:00 AM to 11:30 AM). The service price remains unchanged compared to weekdays.
At the end of the program, participants introduced the benefits of the UMC Care application. This application manages healthcare for patients who have previously visited the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, helping patients and their families feel more secure and convenient when visiting and receiving treatment at the hospital.
The UMC Care app offers many benefits for patients, such as: online appointment booking, online hospital bill payment, health record tracking, viewing outpatient clinical test results, scheduling medication appointments as prescribed, and monitoring health with indicators such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight.
