"Newbie" Airbus A320 neo officially joins Vietnam Airlines fleet

This is the first of three Airbus A320neo aircraft that Vietnam Airlines will receive this year.

Airbus A320 neo is a modern narrow-body aircraft, equipped with new generation engines, saving 16% fuel, reducing 75% noise and 50% toxic emissions compared to previous generation aircraft. With 182 seats, Airbus A320 neo is fully equipped with modern amenities such as: IFE wireless entertainment system, spacious seat pitch (28-29 inches), maximum recline of 5 inches, ... Thanks to that, Airbus A320 neo brings a smooth, comfortable flight experience to passengers and contributes to environmental protection.

The Airbus A320neo put into operation affirms Vietnam Airlines' commitment to investing in a modern fleet, and demonstrates the airline's determination to increase its operational capacity to meet the increasing travel needs of customers, especially during the summer travel season. It is expected that the "newbie" Airbus A320neo will take off on domestic routes such as: Hanoi-Lien Khuong, Hanoi-Phu Quoc, Ho Chi Minh City-Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City-Chu Lai, etc.

The Airbus A320neo aircraft joining Vietnam Airlines' fleet in 2024 will contribute to providing nearly 40,000 seats during the summer peak season and nearly 300,000 seats in the second half of the year.

The Airbus A320neo put into operation affirms Vietnam Airlines' commitment to investing in a modern fleet of aircraft to increase operational capacity and meet the increasing travel needs of customers.

In addition to the three Airbus A320neo aircraft, Vietnam Airlines will also continue to receive modern wide-body Boeing 787-10 aircraft in the near future. This is one of the largest aircraft in the Boeing 787 family, and is also the largest passenger aircraft of Vietnam Airlines at present.
