Speed up construction
These are two projects invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) and assigned to the Central Power Project Management Board (CPMB) as the project management unit.
The 220 kV Tuong Duong - Do Luong transmission line project is built in many communes of Nghe An province. The project is over 80 km long, including 2 circuits, starting from the 220 kV Tuong Duong transformer station and ending at the 220 kV Do Luong transformer station.

Up to now, localities of Nghe An province have handed over the site of 192/192 foundation positions. For the corridor section, the site of 44/58 anchor spaces has been handed over.
Regarding construction progress, the project has completed the foundation casting, erected 182/192 columns, and is assembling 3 positions. The wires have been pulled for 28 anchors with a length of nearly 33 km, and the wires are being pulled for 2 anchors. For anchors that are eligible for wire pulling, contractors are mobilizing forces to speed up construction.
For the 220 kV Do Luong - Nam Cam transmission line project, it passes through many communes of Nghe An province. The project has a scale of building 2 220 kV transmission lines from the 220 kV Do Luong transformer station to the 220 kV Nam Cam transformer station with a length of about 37 km. The expansion of the feeder at the 220 kV Do Luong transformer station installs equipment for 02 220 kV feeders in the 220 kV Do Luong transformer station (existing) and connects the information system for the 220 kV Do Luong - Nam Cam transmission line.

Up to now, the foundation has mobilized and handed over 105/106 positions, the corridor has mobilized and handed over 38/51 anchorages. During the construction, the Project has completed casting 87/106 positions, is constructing 14 positions, erected 83 poles, completed pulling wires for 15 anchorages with a length of more than 13 km, and is pulling wires for 3 anchorages.
According to CPMB leaders, this project cluster is currently following the set schedule, and contractors at the construction site are also mobilizing maximum forces to construct. However, the biggest challenge of this project is the weather.
During the period from September to early October, due to the impact of consecutive storms, construction progress was slow, especially at locations where foundation construction was underway, mountainous areas where access roads were washed away and had to be repaired, and locations in flooded fields where construction could not be accessed.
Along with that, the locality has not yet handed over all the site locations of poles and corridors of both projects. CPMB continues to coordinate with the Compensation and Site Clearance Council and the People's Committees of related communes to organize meetings with households and organizations whose land and assets are affected by the Project to disseminate the Project investment policy/compensation and site clearance support policies to implement the Project, and continue to mobilize households to receive money to hand over the site to the construction unit.
Efforts to bring the project to completion soon
The leader of PC1 Group Joint Stock Company, the unit participating in the project's construction, said that recently, due to the impact of the weather, along with the unit's forces being dispersed due to having to construct other key projects of the Electricity industry, the progress has not met the set plan.
Currently, the unit has mobilized the best human resources, means and machinery to focus on implementing and accelerating the project's progress with the determination to complete the project in early November 2025 according to the direction of EVNNPT's leadership.

At the project progress review meeting on the afternoon of October 6, 2025, EVNNPT Deputy General Director Truong Huu Thanh acknowledged the efforts of CPMB and the units participating in the project to complete a large amount of work, but the overall progress still did not meet the requirements.
These transmission projects aim to release capacity from Lao wind power plants, Nam Mo hydropower plant cluster in Laos, My Ly and Nam Mo 1 hydropower plants, and medium and small hydropower plants in the western region of Nghe An into the national power system.
At the same time, it helps to increase the reliability of power supply for the growing load of Nghe An province and connect the power grid in the region; meet the power demand for the load in the Central region, where some important existing and future industrial loads of Nghe An province are concentrated, contributing to promoting the socio -economic development of Nghe An province.

Therefore, EVNNPT Deputy General Director Truong Huu Thanh requested CPMB to closely coordinate with relevant departments, branches and localities of Nghe An province to promptly resolve site clearance problems. Closely coordinate with local authorities and political organizations to propagate and mobilize for early handover of site for the project.
For construction units, EVNNPT Deputy General Director requested units to add manpower, simultaneously carry out foundation excavation, pole erection and wire pulling, and continue to coordinate with CPMB to mobilize handover of foundation sites for construction.
CPMB needs to review the difficulties and problems at each column position and each corridor anchorage of each contractor to focus on management. Difficulties and problems must be reported to the Corporation's leaders immediately for timely resolution. The entire construction site is highly focused, with the highest determination, striving to complete the projects in early November 2025, meeting EVN's instructions.
