Conference overview.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association Vu The Binh emphasized: Tourism is a comprehensive economic sector, identified as a spearhead economic sector, which needs to change and grow stronger, with a higher growth rate. This is clearly shown in Resolution No. 226/NQ-CP with many strategic goals, in which the tourism industry is assigned a quite specific task: striving to welcome 25 million international visitors and 150 million domestic visitors in 2025. Faced with such a large-scale growth requirement, the tourism industry must quickly gather forces, develop plans and organize strong implementation. On the local side, it is necessary to transform goals into specific, synchronous and breakthrough action programs, resolutely implementing the tasks assigned by the Government.

Attending and delivering a welcome speech, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi affirmed: In the current period of strong integration and digital transformation, the tourism industry is not only a comprehensive economic sector with a fast growth rate, but also a cultural bridge, a driving force for innovation and creativity. Therefore, strengthening the role of Vietnam Tourism Association and the tourism association network in localities nationwide to enhance regional connectivity, public-private cooperation, and jointly seize opportunities and share opportunities is one of the important tasks.

For Thanh Hoa province, tourism has always been oriented to develop into a spearhead economic sector. In recent times, Thanh Hoa tourism has made strong changes, gradually shaping an attractive, friendly, and safe tourist destination, becoming one of the major tourist centers of the North Central region and the whole country.
Thanh Hoa province hopes that through today's conference, the Vietnam Tourism Association, local tourism associations and businesses will share effective models and valuable lessons; at the same time, propose practical solutions so that the tourism industry of the whole country and each locality can adapt flexibly and develop sustainably in the new period. Thanh Hoa province is committed to accompanying the Vietnam Tourism Association and localities in concretizing Resolution 226/NQ-CP of the Government.

Discussing at the conference, delegates proposed a number of specific solutions on tourism promotion and promotion associated with the development of diverse, high-quality tourism products for each tourist season and key areas. Along with that, improving the experience and increasing the average spending of tourists; strengthening inspection and management of the market, prices of accommodation services, food and beverage, food hygiene and safety, especially in key tourist areas. In particular, it is necessary to focus on strengthening links in tourism development, combining tourism with consumption of OCOP products and local specialties.
Representative of the Institute of Tourism Economics (ITT) participated in speaking at the conference.
With determination, synchronous action from the central to local levels, close cooperation between sectors and localities, tourism businesses strive to effectively carry out the task of welcoming 25 million international visitors and 150 million domestic visitors, contributing to ensuring the country's growth in 2025 reaches 8% or more as the target set out in Resolution 226/NQ-CP.
