The health sector mobilized 20 two-wheeled ambulances, 64 ambulances from the emergency network outside the hospital, along with 146 first aid points of the Red Cross, ready to respond to emergency situations in the community.
Hospitals and public and private health facilities closely coordinate with medical forces from the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security to ensure the best health care for leaders, delegations, parade forces, tourists and all people participating in events within the framework of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
The representative of the Department of Health added that the Department also proactively planned and implemented emergency scenarios outside the hospital to be ready to respond to all situations.
The 115 Emergency Center closely coordinates with the Military Medical Department, the Health Department and hospitals of ministries and branches to develop a medical plan for parades and marches; arrange detailed emergency forces in 3 areas: on-site (grandstand area), buffer zone and reserve; design emergency flow suitable to the actual conditions of each hospital and the current traffic system, bringing patients to the nearest medical facility quickly, safely and effectively.
The City Center for Disease Control ensures disease prevention and control during the events; coordinates with medical facilities and the Department of Food Safety to strictly inspect food hygiene and safety; promotes food hygiene and safety activities at hotels, accommodation establishments, conference venues and commemorative activities.
Hospitals and medical facilities in the city shall assign and arrange forces to participate in medical teams at parade and marching locations according to the allocation diagram; review and supplement sufficient medicines and medical equipment and arrange human resources to receive and treat patients when necessary; assign medical staff to be on duty to strengthen emergency care outside hospitals when required.
Although the general rehearsal for the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South went smoothly, the representative of the Department of Health still advised people to protect their health when watching the official ceremony, such as: eating and sleeping enough, wearing protective clothing, using sunscreen, carrying personal medicine, drinking water regularly, avoiding standing in the sun for long periods of time and being careful with street food. If people feel tired, immediately notify the authorities and stay calm and follow the instructions.
