Nearly 2km of Le Quang Dao extended road opens to traffic before Lunar New Year

The People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District proposed that the People's Committee of Hanoi City put into use a part of the extended Le Quang Dao Street, reducing traffic pressure on the roads in the area.

Specifically, in the investment project to build the extended Le Quang Dao route, the District People's Committee proposed to put into operation a 1.9km section from Thang Long Avenue to the end of the intersection with Dai Mo Street (Road 70).

Le Quang Dao Street has completed some sections and can be opened to traffic.

In addition, this district also proposed to put into operation nearly 1km of the section from the intersection with Dai Mo Street (before the entrance to the Louis City Dai Mo Urban Area project) to the intersection with the road through Dai Mo Ward People's Committee.

Previously, on January 13, 2025, the Hanoi Department of Transport chaired an inter-sectoral meeting, inspected the site and assessed that the two above-mentioned sections were qualified for operation.

According to Giao Thong Newspaper, the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District was assigned by the People's Committee of Hanoi City to be the investor of two projects: Investment project to build the extended Le Quang Dao road (section from Thang Long Avenue, Nam Tu Liem District to the boundary of Duong Noi urban area, Ha Dong District) and Project to build the road from To Huu Street to the extended Road 70 (from Van Phuc village, Ha Dong District to Thap residential group).

The Le Quang Dao extended road project has a length of 2.673km, with a design speed of 60km/h. Currently, the section from Thang Long Avenue to the end of the intersection with Dai Mo Street (about 1.9km) has been completed according to the approved design documents, ensuring to meet the technical and aesthetic requirements of the project.

The remaining section, approximately 0.7km long, from the Dai Mo intersection to the end of Nam Tu Liem district, is currently under construction and has reached 80% completion according to the approved design documents.

The project to build a route from To Huu Street to the extended Road 70, including the section from the road to Louis City Urban Area (Km 0+617) to the intersection with the road through Dai Mo Ward People's Committee (Km 1+490), has also been completed according to the approved design documents, ensuring to meet technical requirements.

The remaining sections have not been completed due to problems with site clearance. Construction volume has reached 75% of the approved design volume.
