Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son becomes Director of Hanoi National University

(NLDO)- Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son was appointed by the Prime Minister as Chairman of the Council and Director of Hanoi National University.

On September 3, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, to the position of Chairman of the Council and Director of Hanoi National University. The decision takes effect from the date of signing.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son

Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Minh Son was born in 1969, from Hung Yen . He graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1994 and received a PhD in Control and Automation from Dresden University of Technology, Germany in 1998.

He was a lecturer at the Faculty of Electricity, Hanoi University of Science and Technology; held the position of Head of Training Department. He was then Vice Principal in charge of science and technology, postgraduate training, international training, communications and public relations.

In 2015, Mr. Son was appointed Rector of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (now Hanoi University of Science and Technology) and by August 2020 was Chairman of the University Council.

In October 2020, Mr. Hoang Minh Son was appointed to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training until now.
