On September 3rd, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision on the recruitment, transfer, and appointment of leaders of ministries and agencies.

In Decision No. 1885/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, to the position of Chairman of the Council and Director of Hanoi National University. The decision takes effect from the date of signing.

Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Minh Son was born in 1969 in Hung Yen province. He graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1994 and received his PhD in Control and Automation from Dresden University of Technology (Germany) in 1998.

He was formerly a lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Department at Hanoi University of Technology; later he held the position of Head of Training Department; and Vice Rector in charge of science and technology, postgraduate training, international training, communication and public relations.

In 2015, Mr. Son was appointed Rector of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and in August 2020, he became Chairman of the University Council.

In October 2020, Mr. Hoang Minh Son was appointed Deputy Minister of Education and Training, a position he holds to this day.

Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Minh Son received a commendation from the Prime Minister in 2009, the Third-Class Labor Medal in 2017, and ministerial-level commendations in 2006 and 2018.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Training spoke about key training fields . Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son provided information on key training fields and areas that closely follow the country's development policies and orientations.
