Welcoming the Prime Minister and his delegation were, on the Malaysian side, the Minister of Education Fadhlina Sidek; the Malaysian Ambassador to Vietnam Dato' Tan Yang Thai; the Director of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia; and representatives from the Prime Minister's Office. On the Vietnamese side were the Vietnamese Ambassador to Malaysia Dinh Ngoc Linh; staff of the Embassy; and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Malaysia.

During his three-day stay in Kuala Lumpur, the Prime Minister is expected to attend and speak at sessions within the framework of the 47th ASEAN Summit; attend the ASEAN Award Ceremony and the signing ceremony of the declaration on the admission of Timor-Leste to ASEAN; and attend ASEAN summits with partners from the United States, China, India, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and the United Nations.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will co-chair the 13th Mekong-Japan Summit; and attend the following conferences: the 3rd ASEAN Zero-Emission Community Leaders' Meeting, the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, the 28th ASEAN+3 Summit, the 19th East Asia Summit (EAS), and the 5th RCEP Summit.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister held bilateral meetings with leaders of other countries and international organizations, as well as participating in many other important activities.

At the 47th ASEAN Summit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and leaders of other countries will assess the results of ASEAN cooperation in 2025 under the theme "Inclusiveness and Sustainability," and set directions for building the ASEAN Community in the coming period, especially based on developing a roadmap and priorities for implementing the ASEAN Community Vision 2045; strategic plans on political-security, economic, socio-cultural and connectivity...

In particular, on this occasion, the leaders of the countries will sign a Declaration admitting Timor-Leste into ASEAN.

At ASEAN summits with partners, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and leaders of ASEAN countries and partners will review and set directions for promoting relations between ASEAN and its partners, especially strengthening cooperation in areas of current interest such as trade, investment, market diversification, supply chains, science and technology, innovation, climate change response, epidemics, natural disasters... and exchange views on the international and regional situation.

Through these events, Vietnam affirms its active participation and responsible contribution to the common success of the conferences; maintaining solidarity and consensus within ASEAN; contributing to common work, especially maintaining a peaceful and stable regional environment; diversifying relations and markets, and strengthening ASEAN connectivity.

Vietnam is ready to consider supporting and promoting the effective implementation of initiatives from countries and partners that are in line with Vietnam's interests and the interests of ASEAN for peace, security, and development in the region and the world.
