The Hallyu wave has not only spread through music , movies or cuisine, but has now expanded to the consumer sector. Following the success of previous years, the "First Brand Awards 2026" officially launched in Vietnam, marking a new development step in the globalization journey of Korean brands.

On November 3, the Korea Customers Council, with media support from VTV Times, officially launched the survey and voting for the "Korea's Top Brand 2026" award (The First Brand Awards 2026) in Vietnam.
This is an event for Vietnamese consumers to directly participate in evaluating their satisfaction level and voting for potential Korean brands, expected to lead consumer trends in 2026.
The survey will be conducted for 14 days, from November 3, 2025 to November 16, 2025, at the award's official portal at https://fba.brandsociety.co.kr/vn2026/, and the results will be announced in January 2026.
2026 marks the 24th year that this largest brand event in Asia has been held. Every year, through the results of surveys and votes from consumers, the award honors typical Korean brands, from familiar names such as LG, Cheong Kwan Jang, Samyang Buldak noodles, to popular artists such as MC Yoo Jae Suk or Son Heung Min.
Due to the strong spread of the K-Brand wave globally, the award has expanded its scope to the international market with voting rounds in the Indonesian market.
Notably, the vote for the 2025 award attracted 13.7 million consumers from Vietnam, South Korea and China.
380 Korean brands nominated in the Vietnamese market
In Vietnam, this year's voting category recorded the participation of 380 Korean brands. The nomination list was selected based on a comprehensive assessment of factors: local consumption trends, export achievements, sales and certifications from professional organizations.
The healthcare sector is highlighted by the increasing demand for probiotics in the trend of taking care of intestinal health and enhancing immunity, especially among young consumers (generation MZ). Brands such as Lacto ON, Lacto-Fit, Ofmom, Haru Yogurt are on the list of nominees for the Probiotics category this year.
Meanwhile, the skin care market continues to maintain impressive growth. In the skin care mask category, prominent brands such as CARYOPHY, JM Solution, SUR.MEDIC+, Nature Republic, Mediheal, Banobagi, Wonjin Effect were honored in the nomination list.
In addition, toner - an essential product in the basic skin care routine - also attracts attention with representatives such as Dear, Klairs, Some By Mi, Equalberry, etc.
Not only the beauty field, the Character and Culture category is also expected to attract great attention as the Hallyu and K-POP waves still maintain strong influence in Vietnam.
This year, J-Hope, G-Dragon, Jin, and Haechan will compete in the Male Solo category, while Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Kwang Soo, and Jung Il Woo will compete in the Film Actor category.
Hallyu - the "common language" between brands and consumers
Mr. Jun Jae Ho, CEO of Korea Customers Council, shared: "Hallyu is now not just a trend, but has become a common language - where consumers and brands can meet, communicate and grow together.
Vietnamese consumers are learning about Korean culture through content such as K-POP drama Demon Hunters or K-Brand, and directly experiencing the appeal of various brands.
We are looking forward to seeing which Korean brands will conquer Vietnamese consumers this year and hope to receive attention and enthusiastic participation from Vietnamese consumers."
