
The session reviewed the draft report evaluating lessons learned from the 15th session of the 15th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026; the report on the results of tasks performed in July and key tasks for August 2024 by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council; and the Resolution establishing a specialized monitoring team for 2024 by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council on "The implementation of national target programs for building new rural areas in the 2021-2025 period, sustainable poverty reduction in the 2021-2025 period, and socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the 2021-2030 period" in Dien Bien province.
Basically, the delegates attending the meeting agreed with the draft contents, with some opinions clarifying related issues and contributing to the discussion on the document's format.
Commenting on the draft report evaluating lessons learned from the 15th session of the 15th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Pham Duc Toan, emphasized that implementing the presentation of reports using images is in line with current trends and requirements. He also pointed out some shortcomings and limitations, such as the delay in sending official documents compared to the announcement; and the issue of absent People's Council representatives participating in meetings with constituents.
Concluding the session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Lo Van Phuong requested the Office to incorporate the delegates' feedback and revise the report accordingly. Regarding the monitoring program, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council agreed to conduct monitoring in 8 districts, excluding Dien Bien Phu city and Muong Lay town.
