Previously, on February 15, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Su - an officer of the Ta Trach Lake Management Board (Thanh Van village, Duong Hoa commune, Huong Thuy town) reported the discovery of wild animals and wanted to hand them over for release into the wild.

After receiving the animal, Huong Thuy Town Forest Protection Department determined that it was a Javan Pangolin ( scientific name: Manis javanica) weighing 1.8 kg and in normal health. This animal belongs to the list of endangered, precious, and rare forest plants and animals, group IB.

According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Su, this pangolin "strayed" into the yard of the Ta Trach Lake Management Board. Understanding that protecting wild animals is the responsibility of the whole society, he proactively contacted the forest rangers to hand it over.
