Accompanying students in mountainous areas
Meanwhile, in Hai Van ward - where there are Co Tu ethnic students, the government has paid special attention to the activity of supporting students to go to school. Hai Van ward People's Committee has just coordinated with Annla Vietnam Company to organize the program "Going to school with you" in Ta Lang village.

At the program, the organizers presented 91 gifts of school supplies and necessities, each worth 300,000 VND, to students of Hoa Bac Primary School; and 10 gifts, each worth 650,000 VND, to poor households in Ta Lang village. Chairman of Hai Van Ward People's Committee Nguyen Thuc Dung said that this is one of the particularly meaningful activities to care for disadvantaged students, helping them to study with peace of mind.
To support students in their learning conditions, the People's Committee of Hoa Vang commune has just launched the model of "Shared Textbook Cabinet" for students in the whole commune. According to Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Vang commune Le Phu Nguyen, after only 45 days of campaigning, the locality mobilized 551 million VND and 6,262 textbooks, placed in the libraries of schools in the commune.
From the 2025-2026 school year, the bookshelf will be able to lend 15,171 textbooks, serving 1,254 mountainous students and all students who are children of policy households, poor households, near-poor households, households with difficult circumstances, sick households, children of ethnic minorities and households that have not purchased textbooks.
Hoa Vang Commune strives to mobilize resources from the 2026-2027 school year onwards so that the "Shared Textbook Cabinet" will cover 100% of the textbook needs of children in the commune (about 5,000 students). At the same time, funds will be allocated to buy new replacement books and depreciate damaged books.
“Every year, the people of Hoa Vang commune borrow textbooks from the bookshelf for their children to study. After finishing their studies, parents and students return them to the bookshelf for the next generation of students to use. This helps people save a large amount of money to buy textbooks for their children,” Mr. Nguyen shared.
