Over the past period, the program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses has been implemented by the entire political system in the province, receiving active support from agencies, organizations, businesses, forces, individuals, and people from all walks of life inside and outside the province. As a result, the program has achieved its planned goals (the province held a program review meeting at the end of August 2025). Currently, due to new needs for support, the province continues to implement this humane program, helping people have sturdy houses to live in and gradually improve their living standards.
According to the report on the situation of temporary and dilapidated houses requiring continued support for new construction and repair in the next phase, presented by the leaders of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions at the conference, as of December 8, 2025, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions had received requests for support from all 65 communes and wards in the area, with a total of 2,467 houses requesting support for new construction and repair (1,378 new constructions; 1,089 repairs).

The funding for this support will be implemented according to the proposed plans: for households classified as poor and near-poor, 5% of the central government's allocated recurrent expenditure will be used, with a support level of 60 million VND per new house and 30 million VND per house for renovation or repair. For households belonging to the category of war veterans, households affected by natural disasters and climate change, and other households, it is proposed that they use funds from social mobilization sources raised by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, with a support level of 60 million VND/house for new construction and 30 million VND/house for renovation and repair.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and exchanging information on the review, solutions for mobilizing financial resources, equipment, and personnel to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for eligible individuals, and plans for organizing and implementing the program according to the set schedule .

In his concluding remarks at the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Deputy Head of the Steering Committee affirmed: Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is a particularly important political task, requiring the decisive and coordinated involvement of the entire political system.
Based on the proposal from the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, the comrade requested that the working groups of the Provincial Party Committee (according to Decision No. 58-QD/TU, dated November 20, 2025, of the Provincial Party Committee) direct and closely coordinate with communes and wards to urgently review the situation, finalize the plan, the number, and the roadmap for eliminating dilapidated houses in the area. Specifically: Phase 1 must complete the construction of 377 new houses and the repair of 397 houses before the Lunar New Year 2026; Phase 2 will focus on completing the number of new houses and repairs set for 2026, organize a high-intensity emulation campaign, and strive to complete the entire program before April 30, 2026.
