Revealing cute snake mascot models in Hue

(Dan Tri) - A sculpture workshop in Hue is creating 10 sets of snake mascots with different sizes, postures and shapes according to customers' requests to decorate the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025.

Speaking to Dan Tri reporter, sculptor Do Thanh Cong from Thuan Hoa district, Hue city, said he and his colleagues are rushing to complete 10 sets of snake mascots according to orders from customers in Nha Trang city and Quang Tri province.

Notable among the green snake mascots, the body wraps around a pearl with a height of 4m. In addition, the pair of snake family mascots are designed with cute, gentle shapes and eye-catching colors, expressing the reunion and joy during Tet.

According to Mr. Cong, his workshop received orders to make 10 sets of snake mascots with different sizes and designs, including a snake family mascot set, a snake beauty queen wearing a crown, a giant snake holding a Buddha statue, a green snake coiled around a pearl, and a snake holding a pearl.

The mascots are made from foam material, reinforced with steel inside to ensure strength. Each mascot set takes 5-7 working days to complete according to customer requirements.

Artisan Do Thanh Cong's sculpture workshop has 15 years of experience in the field of crafting statues, symbols and decorative mascots.

The workshop's workforce mostly graduated from art and fine arts schools. During the 2024 Lunar New Year, this workshop constructed two giant dragon statues at Hue National University Monument, causing a stir in the online community.

Mr. Cong said that every Tet holiday, his workshop receives many orders to make mascots, with revenue reaching 500 million VND in some years. The workshop not only provides a stable income but also creates regular jobs for 7 workers and solves jobs for many seasonal workers during peak times.

Regarding the snake mascot set for the At Ty spring in Hue, Mr. Cong revealed that the functional unit had consulted on the price but had not yet returned to finalize the order.

Mr. Truong Dinh Hanh, Vice Chairman of Thuan Hoa District People's Committee, said that he has ordered a unit from another province to make a snake mascot for decoration, serving the people to celebrate Tet. The snake mascot of At Ty 2025 of Hue is expected to be introduced in the next few days, at Quoc Hoc stele.
