Search for missing fishermen after boat sank

On November 4, information from Roon Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard) said that the unit is deploying forces and vehicles, actively coordinating with local authorities and family to search for a fisherman who went missing after waves sank his boat.

Specifically, at around 8am the same day, Roon Border Guard Station received a report from the people that Mr. PQH (born in 1969, residing in Trung Vu village, Hoa Trach commune, Quang Tri province) was driving a basket boat (under 6m) into the Roon river mouth. When about 70m from the river mouth, the boat was suddenly sunk by a large wave, causing Mr. H. to go missing.

Immediately after receiving the news, Roon Border Guard Station notified the local authorities and sent 8 officers and soldiers to coordinate with functional forces, family and fishermen to organize the search.

Also on the morning of November 4, at Hon La port area, cargo ship numbered HP3835 was anchored when it suddenly broke its anchor, drifted and ran aground in the coastal area of ​​Hon La Island Division, Phu Trach commune (Quang Tri province). At the time of the incident, there were 2 crew members on board and both were safe.

Roon Border Guard Station has mobilized officers from Hon La Border Control Station to coordinate with the Maritime Port Authority, local authorities and Hon La Island Division to deploy a rescue plan and support the towing of the distressed ship.
