Over the past few months, Tay Do Garment Joint Stock Company has continuously posted job advertisements. According to Ms. Phan Thi My Thuy, an employee of the Human Resources and Administration Department, the company regularly posts recruitment information on social media and collaborates with the Can Tho City Employment Service Center to find candidates. Currently, the company needs to recruit 100-200 general laborers to meet production and business needs and proactively supplement its fluctuating workforce. The average income for these positions ranges from 9.5 to 16 million VND per person per month. In addition, the company also offers policies and benefits for employees such as: holiday bonuses; childcare support; training for unskilled workers, etc.
Mirai Human Resources Co., Ltd. regularly connects with the Can Tho City Employment Service Center and employment service centers in many southern provinces and cities to find workers. Mr. Chu Ngoc Tai, Head of Recruitment at Mirai Human Resources Co., Ltd., said: “From now until the end of 2025, we need to recruit 300-400 trainees to go to Japan in various fields such as mechanics, food processing, packaging, etc. Among them, we currently need to recruit about 100 workers in the nursing sector. Workers going to Japan will receive a basic salary of 25-30 million VND/person/month after deducting expenses. All benefits are guaranteed according to regulations.”
Through advising and recruiting workers for employment in the Japanese market, Mr. Chu Ngoc Tai observed that workers from Can Tho City are highly valued by Japanese companies for their eagerness to learn and work. In particular, workers are increasingly interested in working abroad under contract since the policy supporting loans was implemented under Resolution No. 11/2023/NQ-HĐND dated December 8, 2023, of the Can Tho City People's Council on policies supporting vocational education, employment, and the shift of labor structure from agriculture to non-agriculture.
From the beginning of 2025 to the present, the labor market in Can Tho City has shown a growth trend in the demand for recruitment from businesses. According to the Can Tho City labor market analysis report, recruitment demand is concentrated in several professions: food processing workers (accounting for 29.97%), garment workers (accounting for 20.38%), sales staff (accounting for 12.50%), mechanical technicians (accounting for 7.57%), and information and communication technology operators (accounting for 6.27%).
Based on observations at job fairs and information from businesses registering to recruit workers at the Can Tho City Employment Service Center, in July 2025, a significant number of businesses and organizations had recruitment needs. The job openings were diverse, including positions such as sales staff, electrical engineers, drivers, domestic helpers, and teachers.
Specifically, Cafatex Seafood Joint Stock Company needs to recruit 300 general laborers; Pataya Food Industry (Vietnam) Company Limited needs to recruit 70 crab meat peelers; Kim Linh Mattress Manufacturing and Trading Company Limited needs to recruit 10 female sales staff…
Efforts to connect labor supply and demand.
Acting as a bridge between recruiting businesses and job seekers, the Can Tho City Employment Service Center has organized and coordinated with other units to hold job fairs and job exchange sessions at Job Cafes every Saturday morning, and regularly organizes quarterly online job exchange sessions for the Mekong Delta, Southeast region, and neighboring provinces and cities…
The Center regularly posts job information both domestically and internationally on the Can Tho Job Portal, the Overseas Job Portal (www.xkldcantho.vn), and communicates "hot" overseas job openings on information boards at the Center and on social media platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, TikTok, and YouTube managed by the Center. At the same time, it actively reviews and collects labor market information, and promotes the connection between labor supply and demand to address employment issues in the city.
In July 2025, the Can Tho City Employment Service Center provided job counseling, employment policy information, and vocational training to 17,674 people, referred 1,852 people to jobs both domestically and internationally, and supplied labor domestically and internationally to 299 people through various channels.
According to the Can Tho City Employment Service Center, the labor market in Can Tho City in the last months of the year will have many opportunities for development thanks to positive economic policies and the strong growth of the city's industrial and service sectors. In particular, the processing industry, services, healthcare, information technology, and construction are expected to have high labor recruitment needs. Occupations related to artificial intelligence (AI), digital technology, data processing, business analysis, etc., are expected to develop and attract highly skilled personnel.
To effectively connect labor supply and demand, the Can Tho City Employment Service Center has been continuously collecting information on recruitment needs of businesses and job-seeking needs of workers, and updating the database of monthly labor supply and demand forecasts; receiving notifications of labor fluctuations from businesses; disseminating information about sending workers abroad through various means; coordinating job fairs and expanding the network of collaborators supporting employment and vocational training in communes and wards… to assist businesses in recruiting workers and help workers find suitable jobs.
