Many job positions waiting for workers
In recent months, Tay Do Garment Joint Stock Company has continuously posted recruitment information. According to Ms. Phan Thi My Thuy, an employee of the Administrative Organization Department, the Company regularly posts recruitment information on social networks, and links with the Can Tho City Employment Service Center to find candidates. Currently, the Company is recruiting 100-200 unskilled workers to serve production and business needs and proactively supplement the source of fluctuating workers. The average income for job positions ranges from 9.5-16 million VND/person/month. In addition, the Company also offers policies and benefits for employees such as: holiday and Tet bonuses; childcare support; training for unskilled workers, etc.
Mirai Human Resources Company Limited regularly connects with the Can Tho City Employment Service Center and employment service centers in many southern provinces and cities to find workers. Mr. Chu Ngoc Tai, Head of Recruitment Department of Mirai Human Resources Company Limited, said: “From now until the end of 2025, we need to recruit 300-400 interns to go to Japan in the fields of mechanics, food, packaging... In which, the nursing industry needs to recruit about 100 workers. Workers going to Japan to work have a basic salary of 25-30 million VND/person/month after deducting expenses. The regimes are guaranteed according to regulations”.
Through consulting and recruiting workers to work in the Japanese market, Mr. Chu Ngoc Tai realized that workers in Can Tho City are highly appreciated by Japanese receiving companies for their eagerness to learn and work. In particular, workers are increasingly interested in working abroad under contracts since the policy of supporting loans under Resolution No. 11/2023/NQ-HDND dated December 8, 2023 of the People's Council of Can Tho City on regulations on policies to support vocational education, employment and shifting labor structure from agriculture to non-agriculture.
Since the beginning of 2025, the labor market in Can Tho City has tended to increase in recruitment needs of businesses. According to the Can Tho City labor market analysis report, recruitment needs are concentrated in a number of occupations: food processing workers (accounting for 29.97%), garment workers (accounting for 20.38%), sales staff (accounting for 12.50%), mechanical engineering technicians (accounting for 7.57%) and information and communication technology operators (accounting for 6.27%).
According to the actual recruitment situation at job fairs and information from businesses registering to recruit workers at the Can Tho City Employment Service Center, in July 2025, the number of businesses and units with recruitment needs is quite large. Recruitment positions are very diverse, such as sales staff, sales, electrical engineers, drivers, housekeepers, teachers, etc.
Specifically, Cafatex Seafood Joint Stock Company needs to recruit 300 unskilled workers; Pataya Food Industry Company Limited (Vietnam) needs to recruit 70 crab meat peelers; Kim Linh Mattress Production and Trading Company Limited needs to recruit 10 female sales staff...
Efforts to connect labor supply and demand
As a bridge between recruiting businesses and employees, Can Tho City Employment Service Center has organized and coordinated with units to organize job fairs and job fairs at Job Cafes every Saturday morning, periodically organizing quarterly online job fairs in the Mekong Delta, Southeast and neighboring provinces and cities...
The Center regularly posts domestic and international job information on the Can Tho Job Portal, the Overseas Job Portal (www.xkldcantho.vn) and communicates "hot" orders for overseas jobs on the information boards at the Center and social networking sites such as Facebook, Zalo, Tiktok, YouTube managed by the Center. At the same time, actively reviews and collects labor market information, promotes the connection of labor supply and demand to solve the employment problem in the city.
In July 2025, Can Tho City Employment Service Center provided job counseling, employment policies and vocational training for 17,674 people, introduced domestic and foreign jobs to 1,852 people, and supplied domestic and foreign labor to 299 people through many forms.
According to the Can Tho City Employment Service Center, the labor market in Can Tho City in the last months of the year will have many opportunities for development thanks to positive economic policies and strong growth of the city's industries and services. In particular, the processing industry, services, healthcare, information technology and construction are the sectors expected to have large labor recruitment needs. Industries related to artificial intelligence (AI), digital technology, data processing, business analysis, etc. are expected to develop and attract a high number of human resources.
In order to promote the role of connecting labor supply and demand, Can Tho City Employment Service Center has been and is continuing to collect information on recruitment needs of enterprises, job search needs of employees and update the monthly labor supply and demand forecast database; receive labor fluctuation notifications from enterprises; promote sending employees to work abroad in many forms; coordinate the organization of job transaction activities and expand the network of collaborators to support employment and vocational training in communes and wards... to support enterprises in recruiting employees and help employees find suitable jobs.
