Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh chaired the meeting of the Steering Committee for the Exhibition of National Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)
Reporting at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong said that the Ministry has coordinated with relevant units to organize agencies, units and localities to construct the Exhibition from August 1. The construction progress is updated and reported to Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh during daily inspections at the National Exhibition Center.
The opening ceremony of the Exhibition is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on August 28; the closing ceremony is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on September 5, at the Outdoor Stage in the North Yard, National Exhibition Center. Before that, at 9:00 a.m. on August 20, a preliminary inspection and review will be held, and at 9:00 a.m. on August 26, a general rehearsal of the entire Exhibition will be held.
The Deputy Minister also requested the units to adhere to the issued design and progress to ensure timely completion. The sub-committees reviewed their activities and assigned staff to be on duty at the Exhibition to resolve any problems that may arise.

At the meeting, after listening to the opinions of representatives of ministries, branches, localities, and members of the Steering Committee, on behalf of the Government, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh acknowledged the efforts of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism - the standing agency of the Steering Committee and ministries, branches, central and local agencies for actively and effectively coordinating, trying to focus on implementing tasks and work to prepare for the Exhibition.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the remaining time is very short, from now until the opening day of the Exhibition there are 15 days, but until the preliminary review day there is only 1 week left, while the scale of the organization and the amount of work is still very large, requiring high determination and great efforts to perform well the assigned tasks.
Recently, the Prime Minister also issued Official Dispatch 126 with key directions and clear assignments to ministries, branches, and localities. The Deputy Prime Minister requested that ministries, branches, and localities seriously and urgently focus on implementing assigned tasks and work.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that ministries, branches, central agencies; People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities: Focus resources, material resources, human resources, implement 24/7, ensure basic completion before August 15, 2025 according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
Local Party committees and authorities, Standing Committees, and leaders of ministries should carefully review all tasks, including appraising and approving the content of the Exhibition, and meticulously preparing documents and images that accurately reflect reality and are worthy of the event for inclusion in the Exhibition.
The participating provinces and cities fully ensured the deployment of all 34 local food train carriages to showcase the culinary essence and specialties of 34 provinces and cities across the country.
In addition to the art programs and supporting activities already included in the Exhibition's program and plan, agencies, units, localities and enterprises should research and propose to implement additional promotional programs, organize conferences, seminars, sign cooperation agreements, etc. at the Exhibition. Thereby, introduce potentials and advantages, and seek new cooperation and investment opportunities.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to: Focus on directing and closely coordinating with Vingroup Corporation and international consultants to carefully review and absorb the opinions of the Government Standing Committee on August 6, 2025, promptly complete the overall identity design plan, on that basis, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is responsible for promptly appraising and approving it for implementation according to regulations.
Carefully and thoughtfully prepare the opening and closing ceremonies of the exhibition.
Develop a detailed program, content, publications, and documents for the press conference on August 22, 2025; have a specific plan and method to manage and operate the Press Center; urgently promote the propaganda and promotion of the Exhibition on the media... so that the event is widely known, interested, and responded to by the public.
Preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Home Affairs and relevant agencies to research and advise on the work of rewarding collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Exhibition; research the scoring plan for exhibition booths, organize art programs before, during and after the Exhibition, organize culinary work at the Exhibition, focusing on ensuring food safety, quality of dishes, diversity and attractiveness, as well as ensuring environmental hygiene.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall preside over the planning, list and invitation plan for high-ranking delegations to visit the Exhibition in coordination with delegations attending the 80th Anniversary Celebration, Parade and March of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, ensuring a thoughtful reception.
Leaders of ministries, branches and localities speak
Preside over inviting international guests, embassies, and international organizations in Hanoi to attend the Opening and Closing Ceremonies; confirm attendance and compile and send the list of international delegates to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in reception work, welcoming high-ranking delegations and international delegates to participate in activities within the framework of the Exhibition.
The Ministry of Finance urged state-owned enterprises to participate, and the Ministry of Construction assigned officials to inspect and assess the safety of equipment and structures related to the project and exhibition area, ensuring absolute safety.
The Deputy Prime Minister also assigned the Hanoi People's Committee to direct the Hanoi Police to develop a plan to organize traffic routes and traffic diversions to ensure smooth and safe traffic; at the same time, ensure security and safety for people and visitors to the Exhibition; ensure adequate and continuous supply of electricity and water, and avoid interruptions during the construction and organization of the Exhibition.
Press, radio and television agencies actively carry out propaganda and promotion work about the Exhibition, organize content and image production and release on radio and television channels and publications, aiming to attract the attention of the general public, widely spreading the exhibition's message domestically and internationally.
Vingroup Corporation creates favorable conditions for units during peak construction days, ensures overtime construction conditions, meets progress requirements; improves the working environment, creates favorable conditions for construction workers in hot weather conditions; strengthens solutions to reduce air, dust and noise pollution.
Closely coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies to resolve issues in organizing exhibitions, organizing opening and closing ceremonies, as well as ensuring plans for traffic, health, security, order, fire prevention and fighting, environmental sanitation, arranging public restrooms inside the exhibition hall and outdoor yards, garbage collection areas, ensuring the landscape of the exhibition space, arranging trees, food areas, services, entertainment to serve the essential needs of the people.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that all ministries, departments, localities, and businesses participate with the highest sense of responsibility to be worthy of the 80th anniversary of national construction and defense, ensuring inclusiveness, comprehensiveness, objectivity, effectiveness, and economy.
Deploy decoration for the entire area outside and inside the Exhibition Center. Design vivid symbols in the West Court area to express the desire for the sky, reaching out to the sea (large seaports, large fleets...), going deep into the ground (subway system, underground space...).
Based on the assigned tasks, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the members of the Steering Committee, according to their functions and tasks, with spirit, responsibility and enthusiasm, to help the Steering Committee and the Government perform well the construction work as well as the content for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, meeting the requirements assigned by the Party and State.
Emphasizing that the Exhibition is a large-scale event, rich in content, a big, difficult, unprecedented event, short in time, with high requirements... participating in and organizing this Exhibition is the pride and responsibility of ministries, branches, localities, and enterprises, the Deputy Prime Minister requested all ministries, branches, localities, and enterprises to participate with the highest sense of responsibility to be worthy of the 80th anniversary of building and defending the country, ensuring inclusiveness, comprehensiveness, objectivity, efficiency, and economy.
