In 2023, the global energy crisis was predicted to cause supply shortages in most parts of the world while oil and gas prices soared. This crisis remains highly unpredictable and is not expected to end this year.
This places significant pressure on Vietnam's energy supply, which is already facing shortages due to the rapid economic recovery after the pandemic. Ensuring a stable and secure electricity supply nationwide presents numerous challenges.
Meanwhile, in recent days, we have continuously recorded information about hot weather across the country, leading to a significant increase in electricity demand from households and businesses.
Since the beginning of the year, the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have provided close guidance to the electricity sector to focus on implementing solutions to ensure electricity supply, especially by urging people and businesses to increase the use of electricity economically and efficiently.
What are these solutions and how effective have they been? What room is there for further promotion of electricity conservation throughout society? What kind of involvement is needed from state management agencies, local authorities, businesses, and the public in the future?
The seminar was attended by invited guests, including experts and managers in this field:Mr. Trinh Quoc Vu - Deputy Director of the Energy Saving and Sustainable Development Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thang - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade
Ms. Ly Thi Phuong Trang - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Daikin Vietnam
The program is being streamed live on the online version of the Industry and Trade Magazine; Fanpage: Proud of Vietnamese Goods from 9:00 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
