Celebrating family businesses and reading culture

(NLDO) - "October Meeting" honors Vietnamese entrepreneurs, spreads the will to overcome difficulties, start a resilient business and contribute to sustainable development of the Vietnamese economy.

The "October Meeting" series of activities in 2025 is jointly organized by Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine, Ho Chi Minh City Book Street and Vietnam Publishing Association - Southern Office. The event aims to spread corporate cultural values, inspiring stories of Vietnamese entrepreneurs.

The series of events "October Meeting" in 2025 took place with the theme "Family Business - Where Vietnamese brands originate", focusing on exploiting the depth of corporate culture, inherited identity between generations of entrepreneurs, while honoring the resilience, creativity and perseverance of the family business sector in the integration journey.

Mr. Tran Hoang, Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine, delivered the opening speech of the program.

Activities took place in a variety of ways, such as seminars, art programs, writing contests, and a week honoring entrepreneurs with books, and a sports festival for businesses and entrepreneurs in Ho Chi Minh City...

One of the highlights is the writing contest "Family business - Where Vietnamese brands originate" launched for the first time, the organizers hope to create a forum to record real stories and real values ​​from family business models - which are the cradle of many prestigious Vietnamese brands.

"October Meeting" is an annual activity hosted by Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine in coordination with relevant units.

The writing contest is open to individuals and groups at home and abroad who love writing, have stories, memories or research about family businesses. The time to receive entries is from August 1 to September 30. Quality articles will be selected to be published in Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine, and will be considered for awards at the Honor and Award Ceremony in October 2025, on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day.

Mr. Tran Hoang, Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine, emphasized: "We expect to receive quality articles about family businesses that inspire the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation and succession in the Vietnamese business community; and at the same time, give advice for family businesses to develop strongly in the new period."

The Organizing Committee said the writing contest is an important communication activity to accompany private entrepreneurs, promoting the development of the private economy in Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country in the new period.

The "Entrepreneurs and Books" Week takes place from October 8 to 12 with a series of rich activities such as: honoring "Top 10 good books written by Vietnamese entrepreneurs in 2025", "Top 50 enterprises with good reading culture in 2025"; exhibition "Top 50 enterprises with good reading culture in 2025"; "Top 10 good books written by Vietnamese entrepreneurs in 2025"; "Top 100 books worth having in corporate bookcases in 2025"; Gala for Entrepreneurs and Books; exchange, book signing, launching new works of award-winning entrepreneurs and authors.
