The General Secretary affirmed his commitment to the people to "match words with actions"

(Dan Tri) - General Secretary To Lam emphasized that he will turn the documents of the 14th Party Congress into modern leadership and governance tools, creating a solid foundation for the country's development goals for the 2035-2045 period.

On the afternoon of September 25, General Secretary To Lam chaired a working session with the Standing Committees of the 14th Party Congress Subcommittees to give opinions on continuing to perfect the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th Party Congress.

At the working session, the Standing Committees of the 14th Party Congress Subcommittees briefly reported on the preparation of documents to report to the Politburo and the 13th Party Central Committee Conference, including: Draft Political Report; Draft Summary Report on a number of theoretical and practical issues over 40 years of renovation in Vietnam; Draft Summary Report on 15 years of implementing the Party Charter.

General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the 14th National Party Congress Documents, with two pillars being the Political Report and the Action Program for the 2026-2031 term, must be the Party's strong commitment to the people about a new development period.

This is a period of stable and solid development for breakthroughs; modern, inclusive, and sustainable; ensuring comprehensive security while expanding development space in the context of strategic competition and global standard transformation.

To do that, the 14th Party Congress Documents need to clearly demonstrate three layers of orientation.

One is the foundation layer - new generation development thinking with four strategic shifts.

Second is the structural layer - five pillars of foundational security that provide a shield against shock, change, impacts and risks.

Third is the operational layer - the action program can be counted by each implementing entity, resources, responsibilities and specific deadlines.

The General Secretary requested that the summary of 40 years of innovation must point out core lessons, principled innovation, and promote the strength of great national unity. The General Secretary also noted the need to combine national strength with the strength of the times, proactively integrate and seize opportunities of green transformation, digital transformation and restructuring of global value chains.

Requiring that the draft documents need to add new points, the General Secretary asked members of the Document Subcommittee to urgently complete the documents, striving for the 14th Party Congress Documents to become a driving force for innovation in thinking and action throughout the entire political system, arousing aspirations for development.

“We will turn the Document into a modern leadership and governance tool, creating a solid foundation for the 2035-2045 goals. That is also our commitment to the people: words go hand in hand with deeds, plans go hand in hand with actions, results are the highest measure,” the General Secretary emphasized.
