During the past school year, the Education Department of Dien Bien Phu City effectively implemented the review and reorganization of school and class sizes according to a roadmap, increasing the number of students per class to reduce the number of classes. For the 2024-2025 school year, the Education Department of Dien Bien Phu City has identified the theme: “Discipline, responsibility, innovation, and improvement of the quality of education and training.” The department has outlined 10 key tasks and implementation solutions. These include focusing on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in education; developing the network of schools and classrooms, mobilizing the population of school age to attend school, ensuring equitable access to education for all; and improving the quality of preschool, general, and continuing education.
On this occasion, the President awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to 2 collectives and the Third Class Labor Medal to 1 individual. The Provincial People's Committee awarded the title of Excellent Labor Collective to 10 collectives; and Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 8 individuals. The Department of Education and Training awarded Certificates of Merit to 11 collectives and 4 individuals for outstanding achievements in the 2023-2024 school year. The People's Committee of Dien Bien Phu City awarded Certificates of Merit to 25 collectives and 19 individuals for outstanding achievements in activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory in the education sector of Dien Bien Phu City.
