On the afternoon of April 24, the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the MM Mega Market retail system to organize a signing ceremony with suppliers participating in the "Responsible Green Tick" program.
There are 7 suppliers participating in the signing this time, most of which are food and vegetable producers such as Thaicorp International Vietnam Co., Ltd., Nguyen Thanh Dat Safe Vegetable Cooperative, Kim Long Agricultural Cooperative - melon products...
Mr. Nguyen Duc Toan - commercial director of MM Mega Market Vietnam - said that since the beginning of 2025, MM Mega Market has dedicated a display area for products certified with the Green Tick responsibility.
Up to now, the company has signed cooperation agreements with about 50 suppliers, deploying more than 200 participating product codes. Revenue from this product group increased by 20% after joining.
"MM is and will have many policies to support blue tick businesses in promoting their brands and products, helping more customers understand the meaning of the program and prioritize choosing products."
Mr. Nguyen Hong Quyet - Director of Kim Long High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative (Binh Duong) - said that before signing with MM, the cooperative had cooperated with other distributors such as Saigon Co.op and Bach Hoa Xanh. Currently, the unit has a melon output of more than 2,200 tons/year, of which 800 tons are exported.
"We produce seriously so we confidently participated right after hearing about the program. After half a year of participating, the consumption of melons increased because of the reception from consumers," said Mr. Quyet.

As a tofu manufacturer and the first foreign enterprise to join the "Responsible Green Tick" program, Mr. Sombat Onniam - CEO of Thaicorp International Company - shared that this signing helps the company demonstrate a stronger commitment to protecting consumers and contributing to reducing emissions to the environment.
According to Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, having more suppliers participating in the program will help the city build a responsible supply chain from production, processing to distribution and consumption. Thereby ensuring the highest requirements on food safety to consumers.
Suppliers say that despite efforts to promote and spread the program, in reality many consumers still do not know or care much about "Responsible Green Tich" products, and the difference from non-participating products in supermarkets is not high.
Therefore, supermarkets and the industry and trade sector need to have more activities to promote and introduce products and programs, and have policies to boost purchasing power... for "Responsible Green Tich" products.
As of early March, according to statistics from 11 distribution systems, after 1 year of implementing the program, about 300 suppliers have signed to participate in "Responsible Green Tick".
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the city will increase coordination with provinces and cities to expand the program to local production and supply enterprises. The goal is to have more products circulating on the market with the "green tick of responsibility", all controlled and guaranteed in quality when reaching consumers.
