Thai Thi Thao shares about the special celebration after scoring a hat-trick

Midfielder Thai Thi Thao had a brilliant day with a hat-trick against Malaysia, contributing greatly to the 'destructive' 7-0 victory of the Vietnamese women's team.

In the opening match of Group B of the 33rd SEA Games women's football, which took place on the evening of December 5, the Vietnamese women's team had a favorable start when they defeated Malaysia 7-0. At the post-match press conference, Thai Thi Thao could not hide her bright smile. She modestly shared: "Today I feel very happy and lucky to score 3 goals. But I think this is the credit of the whole team.

Everyone worked together, following the coaching staff's tactics to create a good game, helping me have a chance to score. This is a great motivation for me personally as well as the whole team for the next matches."

Notably, Thai Thi Thao revealed that this was a historic milestone for her personally. "I am really happy and honored, because this is the first time I have scored a hat-trick in the national team's shirt," the midfielder confided.

In particular, she had a meaningful celebration after scoring. When asked by reporters about this, Thai Thi Thao emotionally said: "I want to dedicate this hat-trick and motivation to celebrate to a friend, a close teammate of mine who just gave birth to a baby. This is the congratulations and gift that I want to send to her and her family."

The sublime performance of the 30-year-old midfielder and his teammates not only brought home the first 3 points but also created a momentum of excitement before the Vietnamese women's team enters more difficult challenges when meeting Myanmar and the Philippines in the coming days.
