In the quarterfinals of the HBSF 3-Cushion Carom Tournament, Stage 3 - 2024, held this afternoon (October 11th), Tran Quyet Chien faced Pham Quoc Thich. On the first day of competition, Quyet Chien displayed a strong performance and is currently leading the list of supplementary prizes for the "highest series" with a single run scoring 15 points. Conversely, Quoc Thich also caused several surprises, including defeating the formidable opponent Dao Van Ly in the round of 16.

In the quarter-final match, Tran Quyet Chien got off to a very fast start. In the second frame, the player born in 1984 had already scored a series of 6 points. The tide turned from here, as the number one Vietnamese player could no longer maintain the accuracy of his shots.

In the end, Pham Quoc Thich continued to surprise everyone by defeating Tran Quyet Chien 40-34 after 22 innings. This victory secured Quoc Thich's place in the semi-finals.

Tran Thanh Luc won convincingly to advance to the semi-finals.

The remaining quarterfinal matches saw no surprises, with the higher-ranked players all winning. Thanh Luc defeated Ly The Vinh 40-13, Thanh Tu beat Nhu Le 40-28, and Quoc Thang defeated Nhat Hoa with a score of 40-30.
