Launched on June 17, 2024, the campaign has received positive responses from many professional and non-professional authors from all provinces and cities across the country. Participating authors are diverse in age and profession, including many young writers and journalists working at central and local press agencies; especially senior authors who are still passionate about art and devoted to journalism. Some authors submitted one work, some participated in all three genres of poetry, song and short play.

The Organizing Committee received 226 works from 131 authors. Of which, the poetry category had 164 works from 83 authors; the song category had 34 works from 22 authors; and the stage script category recorded 28 works from 26 authors. Most of the works were close to the theme, demonstrating the spirit of dedication, responsibility and professional pride of journalists. The works all showed serious investment and creativity in the way of expression.

Speaking at the award ceremony, journalist Vuong Minh Hue, Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi People Magazine and Head of the campaign's organizing committee, said that the entries vividly reflected the image of journalists through many perspectives, from the arduous journey of work, trips to remote areas, efforts to report truthfully... to thoughts, professional struggles, journalistic ethics and loyalty to the truth. Behind each work, journalists appear authentic, while also full of emotions, responsibilities and silent sacrifices.
“This is the first time a literary and artistic creation campaign about journalism has been organized on a national scale. The works all have in common the love for journalism and the respect for journalists. Going beyond the framework of a campaign, the entries contribute to highlighting the role of journalism and the mission of journalists in the work of building and defending the Fatherland, while at the same time arousing pride and fueling the passion of journalists,” shared journalist Vuong Minh Hue.

The poetry genre has a wide range of participants, diverse in approach and form of expression. Many works are rich in emotion, realistically portraying the image of dedicated and brave journalists, while praising the mission of the profession and reflecting on the silent sacrifices.
The work “On the burning ink road” by Pham Thi My Lien - pen name Lien Pham (Quang Nam) was awarded the first prize. The two second prizes went to “The keeper of the fire of words” by Truong Viet My - pen name My My ( Ca Mau ) and “Dad must go” by Le Thi Nguyet (Nghe An).

The drama genre has many concise, realistic scripts that clearly reflect the professional conflicts and courageous choices of journalists in a high-pressure working environment. The script “Uncle Ho’s Advice” by director, Meritorious Artist Trinh Quang Khanh (Hanoi) won the First Prize. The Second Prizes went to “Cactus Flower” by Phung Khanh (Hanoi) and “Living with Passion” by Ngo Minh Nguyet (Hanoi).
