Awarding emulation flags and commending outstanding union collectives and individuals

On February 20, in Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Newport Corporation held a conference of labor delegates in 2025. Colonel Nguyen Dinh Duc, member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Head of the National Defense Trade Union, and Colonel Nguyen Nang Toan, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Corporation attended and directed the conference.

Colonel Ngo Minh Thuan, General Director, and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Phuong Nam, Deputy General Director and Chairman of the Trade Union of Tan Cang Saigon, co-chaired the event.

The conference was attended by representatives from the National Defense Trade Union Committee, the Mass Mobilization Department, the Naval Political Department, and 220 delegates representing more than 7,000 employees of the Corporation.

Colonel Nguyen Dinh Duc, member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Head of the National Defense Trade Union Committee, delivered a speech at the conference.

With the spirit of democracy and solidarity, the delegates focused on contributing ideas on solutions to implement the economic and defense tasks of the Corporation in 2025. The conference approved the results of the implementation of the collective labor agreement in 2024; the results of revenue and expenditure of the welfare and reward fund in 2024; the results of the People's Inspectorate's activities in 2024; the results of the conference of employees of affiliated units in 2025; approved 22 rules, regulations, and provisions, including 11 additional and amended contents; synthesized and answered comments from the conferences of employees at all levels.

In addition, the conference also added several new policies on management, work practices, occupational safety and health; regulations on salary payment; regulations on sightseeing, tourism, and recreation; and other welfare benefits for employees.

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Nguyen Dinh Duc, Head of the National Defense Trade Union, highly appreciated the leadership and direction of Saigon Newport Corporation in trade union activities; trade union officials at all levels in the Corporation maintained discipline and corporate culture typical of Saigon Newport people; ensured full standard regimes for workers; this is truly the foundation for replication throughout the army. The Head of the National Defense Trade Union hopes that Saigon Newport Corporation will have more projects, topics, initiatives, and solutions to effectively apply in production and business activities, while promoting the propaganda of Saigon Newport corporate culture to attract more high-quality human resources...

Delegates voted to pass the conference resolution.

The conference elected the People's Inspection Committee for the 2025-2027 term, consisting of 9 members; the committee for monitoring the implementation of the workers' resolution, consisting of 24 members; and approved the collective labor agreement and the Resolution of the Workers' Representatives Conference for 2025.

At the conference, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded a commendation flag to the Tan Cang Saigon Trade Union; and presented certificates of merit to three individuals for their outstanding achievements in trade union activities in 2024.
