Artificial Intelligence: New driving force for Da Nang's development

On May 9, the People's Committee of Da Nang City organized a workshop "Artificial Intelligence - New driving force for Da Nang's development" to affirm the above determination.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, emphasized that with its favorable geographical location, modern information technology infrastructure, attractive investment policies and young, dynamic and high-quality human resources, Da Nang is focusing on promoting digital transformation and applying artificial intelligence (AI) in the fields of healthcare, education, tourism, logistics, public administrative services and building a smart city.

According to Mr. Minh, this workshop is an opportunity for Da Nang to receive comments from domestic and international experts, investors and businesses. Through this, the city will complete its AI development plan with practical and highly feasible solutions, suitable for international trends and local conditions.

At the same time, the workshop also aims to concretize Resolution No. 57 of the Government on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. This is also an opportunity to introduce the potential, advantages and special preferential policies of Da Nang in the field of AI to the business community and investors.

In addition, the workshop is also a dialogue forum for experts and consultants to contribute ideas and improve the city's AI development policies and strategies. The event also aims to attract resources, support startups and promote AI applications in key areas such as healthcare, education and public services.

Da Nang is determined to become a high-tech center with two spearheads: AI and semiconductor chips.

The workshop consists of two sessions including the Plenary Session which will focus on discussing AI development orientations for Da Nang, international lessons learned in developing and applying AI in the fields of urban management, social management and public administration as well as policy proposals to attract AI investment in Da Nang.

The roundtable discussion with the theme "Da Nang - a potential destination for AI startups" focused on discussing the factors that help Da Nang become the AI ​​startup center of the region; experiences in raising capital, expanding scale, developing innovation ecosystems, training human resources from the practical perspective of international entrepreneurs and investors as well as discussing the support of the city government in the process of accompanying businesses.

At the Special Session, delegates will focus on assessing the current status and development orientation of AI technology and data infrastructure in Da Nang based on international standards and world experience.

Sharing advanced technology solutions and infrastructure models to accelerate AI application deployment, support startups and digital businesses.

At the same time, there will be an in-depth discussion on investment orientation, infrastructure sharing and support policies to develop the AI ​​- Blockchain - innovation ecosystem in Da Nang.
