
The second day of competition at the 33rd SEA Games was a golden day for Vietnamese sports , as they won 10 more gold medals on the overall medal table, along with 2 more gold medals in MMA.
Entering the third day of competition, the Vietnamese delegation aims to maintain its position in the top 4 of the 2025 SEA Games.
This day also attracted attention as the Vietnamese women's volleyball team played against the Indonesian women's team.

Swimming – Gold Medal vs Silver Medal
Another double victory for Vietnamese athletes: gold and silver medals.
Unsurprisingly, Nguyen Huy Hoang finished first in the men's 1500m freestyle with a time of 15 minutes 19 seconds 58. His teammate Mai Tran Tuan Anh came in second, winning the silver medal.



Volleyball
The Vietnamese women's team easily defeated Indonesia 3-0, advancing to the semi-finals as group B winners.
Athletics - Bronze Medal
Huynh Thi My Tien won a bronze medal in the women's 100m hurdles.
Swimming – Gold and Silver Medals
Amazing, Anh Vien's younger brother! Nguyen Quang Thuan finished first in the men's 400m individual medley with a time of 4'19''98. He brought home the gold medal for Vietnam.
Tran Hung Nguyen faltered in the 300-meter section, but still surged ahead to finish second, winning the silver medal.
BTC mistakenly used the Singapore flag when announcing Quang Thuấn's victory.



Athletics wins gold medal in women's 400m race.
In the 400m final, female athlete Nguyen Thi Ngoc, despite starting in a non-seeded lane, brilliantly finished first and won the gold medal with a spectacular sprint.

Athlete Dinh Phuong Thanh won the gold medal in the individual parallel bars event.


Athletics won 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal.
Runner Ta Ngoc Tuong finished in second place to win the silver medal, behind the host country's athlete, Atkinson Joshua from Thailand, with a time of 45.13 seconds. Le Ngoc Phuc finished in third place to win the bronze medal.

In the women's 100m freestyle qualifying round, Huynh Thi My Tien and Bui Thi Nguyen both qualified for the final, which will take place tomorrow afternoon, December 13th.
Gymnastics - Bronze Medal
There was no double win for Dinh Phuong Thanh . He only finished third in the men's horizontal bar final, winning a bronze medal.
Petanque – Gold Medal
A double victory over host nation Thailand. Nguyen Thi Thi and Nguyen Thi Thuy Kieu defeated their home opponents to win the gold medal in the women's doubles.
To date, the team has won 3 gold medals at the 33rd SEA Games.
Petanque - Gold Medal
Ngo Ron and Ly Ngoc Tai won the men's doubles petanque event against their Thai opponents with a score of 10-8, securing the 6th gold medal of the day for Vietnamese sports.
Gymnastics - Gold Medal
Dinh Phuong Thanh finished the parallel bars event with a score of 12.900 points, surpassing all competitors. This is Dinh Phuong Thanh's 12th gold medal at the SEA Games.




Karate – Silver Medal
Nguyen Thi Dieu Ly lost to Singaporean opponent Hafezan Marissa 3-5 in the women's 55kg final, winning the silver medal.
Gymnastics – Silver Medal
In the women's balance beam event, Tran Doan Quynh Nam won the silver medal with 12,000 points.
Women's Futsal
The Vietnamese women's team defeated Indonesia 3-1 in their opening match of the SEA Games 33. It was not an easy victory for Thuy Trang and her teammates.
Taekwondo – Silver Medal
Despite his best efforts, Dinh Cong Khoa lost to the home fighter from Thailand 1-2 after 3 rounds, receiving the silver medal in the men's under 58 kg category.
Karate – Gold Medal
Khuat Hai Nam overwhelmingly defeated his Thai opponent in the men's 67 kg category, bringing home the 4th gold medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation on the afternoon of December 12th.

Taekwondo – Gold Medal
Bac Thi Khiem overwhelmingly defeated her Philippine opponent in the women's 67-73 kg kumite final, bringing home the gold medal for Vietnam.


Taekwondo – Bronze Medal
Pham Minh Bao Kha lost to his home opponent in the semi-finals of the men's 74-80 kg sparring event, receiving a bronze medal.
Canoeing – Gold Medal
The pair Nguyen Thi Huong and Ma Thi Thuy continued their strong performance to win the women's 200m double canoeing final with a time of 43.419 seconds, bringing home the second gold medal of the day for the Vietnamese delegation.
Karate - Silver Medal
Chu Van Duc lost to a Malaysian fighter in the men's 55 kg final, winning the silver medal.
Taekwondo
Bac Thi Khiem advanced to the women's sparring final, 67-73 kg category.
Dinh Cong Khoa advanced to the men's sparring final, 54-58 kg.
Ju-jitsu - Bronze medal
Nguyen Tat Loc won his match against teammate Nguyen Cat Tung, securing a bronze medal in the men's 77 kg Ne-waza event.

“We were psychologically affected right from the qualifying rounds. In the final against Thailand, we were also very tense when we lost our lead, allowing our opponent to overtake us. Thanks to the chants of 'Vietnam' from the audience, we gradually regained our composure,” Mong Tuyen shared after the dramatic chase.

Shooting – Gold Medal
The duo of Le Thi Mong Tuyen and Nguyen Tam Quang defeated their Thai opponents 16-14 in the 10m mixed rifle team final, thereby winning the first gold medal for Vietnamese shooting.
This was also Vietnam's first gold medal on December 12th.


Karate
Khuat Hai Nam dramatically defeated his Malaysian opponent to advance to the final of the men's 67 kg weight class. His final match against Thailand is scheduled for 2 PM.
Ju-jitsu - Bronze medal
Can Van Thang brought home a bronze medal in the men's 62 kg category for Vietnamese sports.
Teqball
Le Anh Khoa and Ba Truong Giang of Vietnam defeated the Myanmar pair 2-0 (12-11; 12-8) to advance to the semi-finals.
Shooting
Shooters Le Thi Mong Tuyen and Nguyen Tam Quang are awaiting the final of the 10m mixed air rifle event.
Hot girl Phi Thanh Thao, known for her shooting skills, cheered on her teammates from the stands.

Beach volleyball
The Vietnamese women's team opened the group stage with an easy 2-0 victory over Singapore (21-15 and 21-7).
Karate
Nguyen Thi Dieu Ly consistently won overwhelmingly against her Indonesian and Malaysian opponents to reach the final .
The girl in the military uniform is expected to win the gold medal this afternoon, when she faces her Singaporean opponent in the 55 kg category.
Canoeing
Nguyen Thi Huong and Ma Thi Thuy finished first in the women's 200m double canoeing qualifying round with a time of 44.875 seconds. They are the hope of bringing home a gold medal for Vietnam.
Shooting
Le Thi Mong Tuyen and Nguyen Tam Quang finished first in the qualifying round with 624.7 points. The final is scheduled to take place at 11:30 AM.
Athletics
Le Ngoc Phuc made a spectacular sprint in the final 50 meters, brilliantly finishing first in the second heat of the men's 400m qualifying round with a time of 48.60 seconds, securing his place in the final.
Shooting
Le Thi Mong Tuyen and Nguyen Tam Quang are temporarily leading after the first round of the 10m mixed air rifle qualifying competition.
Athletics
Ta Ngoc Tuong finished second in the first heat of the men's 400m qualifying round, behind the home athlete from Thailand.
Volleyball
The crucial match between the Vietnamese and Indonesian women's teams, which will decide the top spot in Group B, has been postponed to 5:30 PM.

Host nation Thailand dominated with 41 gold medals. Excluding Cambodia, which withdrew, Brunei and Timor Leste are the only two teams yet to win a gold medal.
Swim
Vo Thi My Tien won the women's 400m freestyle qualifying round in her heat. Nguyen Kha Nhi finished second.
In the final qualifying round, both Vietnamese girls made it into the top 8 to compete for medals this afternoon.
Karate
Chu Van Duc competed in the men's 55kg sparring semi-final with a dominant victory over his Thai opponent, advancing to the final.
Swim
Pham Thi Van and Nguyen Thuy Hien both successfully qualified for the women's 100m freestyle event.

The third day of competition at the 33rd SEA Games has officially begun.
Swimmers Pham Thi Van, Nguyen Thuy Hien (100m freestyle women's qualifying round), Tran Hung Nguyen, Nguyen Quang Thuan (400m individual medley men's qualifying round), Nguyen Huy Hoang, Mai Tran Tuan Anh (1500m freestyle men's qualifying round), Vo Thi My Tien, Nguyen Kha Nhi (400m freestyle women's qualifying round) all entered the competition.
Ma Thi Thuy and Nguyen Thi Huong compete in the Women's Double Canoe 200m.
Ju-jitsu athletes also began competing, including Dao Hong Son, Can Van Thang, Nguyen Tat Loc, Nguyen Cat Tung, Ngo Thi Thao Van, Vu Thi Anh Thu, mixed show mix (Trinh Ke Duong/Nguyen Ngoc Bich), and mixed duo mix (Phung Thi Hong Ngoc/To Dang Minh).
The karate qualifying round features Chu Van Duc (55 kg men), Nguyen Thi Thu (50 kg women), Nguyen Thi Dieu Ly (55 kg women), and Khuat Hai Nam (67 kg women). The finals will take place from 1 PM.
