Regiment 971 urgently evacuated people from flooded areas.

On the morning of October 28, as flood waters continued to rise in riverside areas, officers and soldiers of Regiment 971 (Da Nang City Military Command) were mobilized to assist in evacuating people and property in Tay An Group, Hoa Xuan Ward.

Officers and soldiers of Regiment 971 promptly brought flood victims to safety.

This area currently has 162 households with 657 people affected by deep flooding, at risk of being unsafe if the water continues to rise.

Officers and soldiers of Regiment 971 deployed forces in small groups to each household to support the transportation of the elderly, children, essential items and important assets to safe areas. The evacuation was carried out urgently, ensuring absolute safety for the people.

Along with that, a part of the 971st Regiment's forces are moving to Hoa Tien to coordinate with the locality to respond to complex flood situations, ready to support when requested.
