Head of financial secretary department of AIC Company returned home to surrender

On the afternoon of August 28, information from the Ministry of Public Security said that Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong (Head of the financial secretary department of AIC Company) had surrendered.

The Police Department investigating crimes of corruption, economics , and smuggling has received Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong, a suspect involved in violations in a case that occurred at the Quang Ninh Department of Health.

The Investigation Police Agency requests that defendants, convicts, and other fugitives in the case related to AIC Company directly or through their families, relatives, and Vietnamese representative agencies abroad, contact the Ministry of Public Security to surrender and enjoy leniency under the law. In case they continue to evade, the Ministry of Public Security affirms that these people will be prosecuted, prosecuted, and tried according to regulations.

Regarding defendant Phuong, based on Detention Order No. 5915/LTG-VKSTC-V3 dated July 28, 2023 of the Supreme People's Procuracy , on August 1, 2023, the Investigation Police Agency issued a decision to suspend the wanted notice for Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong.

Previously, on July 4, at the regular Government press conference, Lieutenant General To An Xo, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, said that former chief accountant of AIC International Progress Joint Stock Company Do Van Son (born 1977) had surrendered.

The Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency (C03) has received Do Van Son, a wanted subject in the AIC case, to surrender to the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency to be considered for leniency.

The Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency has carried out legal proceedings against Do Van Son and continues to investigate and exploit this subject to clarify further details in the case.
