On the afternoon of July 22, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry announced the threshold to ensure the quality of admission to the full-time university program in 2025 based on the 2025 high school graduation exam scores. The school also announced the rules for converting equivalent admission scores between admission methods at its headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City.
Minimum admission score by industry and industry group
Input quality assurance threshold (floor score) for level Full-time university for all majors (not applicable to pharmacy and law majors ) at 18 points (general program) and 17 points (English enhancement program).
For the law group (including the general program and the English-enhanced program) , the minimum score is 18 points (in which the minimum score for literature or math is 6.0 for combinations with only one of the two subjects; the minimum score for literature and math is 6.0 for combinations with both of these subjects) .
The pharmaceutical industry's input quality assurance threshold is implemented according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .
The school notes that the threshold to ensure input quality is the total score of the 3 subjects in the admission combination (without multiplying the coefficient and without adding priority points).
Rules for converting equivalent admission scores between methods
Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry also announced a correlation function to convert admission scores between admission methods.
Equivalent conversion function between admission scores by semester score method High school graduation exam in 2025 will be converted to admission score by considering high school academic results of grade 12 combined with outstanding achievements (if any).

According to Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, Head of the School's Training Department, the above correlation functions were built by the school based on the results of analyzing the cumulative scores of students' learning outcomes, the admission score distribution of admission methods in the past 2 years combined with data from the 2025 high school graduation exam.
" The conversion aims to ensure the similarity in input quality between the methods, thereby serving as a basis for determining the corresponding admission scores for each admission method in 2025. With this conversion formula, the school determines the benchmark score for each major according to each method on a 30-point scale and uses the high school graduation exam score as the basis, " said a representative of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry.
