On September 11th, the University of Foreign Languages, Da Nang University, held a ceremony to celebrate its 40th anniversary (1985 - 2025). Attending the event were Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Tan Dung and leaders of Da Nang City.

Established on April 11, 1985, the Da Nang University of Foreign Languages Education campus was founded to meet the demand for language-related human resource training in the Central region of Vietnam. Over the past 40 years, the university has developed into a large-scale training institution with nearly 8,000 students, trainees, and researchers; offering 17 undergraduate programs (29 specializations), 6 master's programs, and 3 doctoral programs.
The faculty and staff currently number 325, of which 27% are lecturers with doctoral degrees, a figure that demonstrates significant professional potential compared to other universities in the region. This serves as a foundation for the university to continuously improve the quality of teaching, scientific research, and international integration.
Speaking at the anniversary celebration, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Director of Da Nang University, affirmed that entering a new phase, the University of Foreign Languages has many opportunities to make a breakthrough, becoming one of the leading language training institutions in the country, aiming for regional and international recognition. The Director of Da Nang University also emphasized that the university needs to continue improving the quality of training, strengthening international cooperation, developing a highly qualified faculty, and innovating management in conjunction with digital transformation.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Long, Rector of the University of Foreign Languages, Da Nang University, said that the institution has always been a pioneer in innovating training models, building a dynamic academic ecosystem, and applying information technology in teaching.
"These efforts have contributed to affirming a solid professional position, while also demonstrating social responsibility, spreading knowledge, and training high-quality human resources for the country," Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Long shared.

The University of Foreign Languages, Da Nang University, has trained tens of thousands of foreign language graduates for the Central and Central Highlands regions over the years, while also contributing to affirming Da Nang's role in the national higher education map. The university's development is closely linked to the city's need for integration and socio -economic development, providing a workforce with foreign language proficiency and global skills for key sectors such as tourism, logistics, information technology, and international finance.
