TTC AgriS and EDB cooperate to develop strategy for sustainable agricultural economic development

On September 10, 2024, Thanh Thanh Cong – Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company (TTC AgriS, HOSE: SBT) held a strategic meeting with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).

During the exchange, the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of TTC AgriS, Dang Huynh Uc My, shared TTC AgriS's development strategy. She also offered recommendations to promote the sustainable transformation of Vietnam's agriculture , particularly emphasizing the importance of trade, technology, and financial platforms in the context of global integration.

Accordingly, the initiatives launched by TTC AgriS are all geared towards a multi-sectoral, multi-value, and barrier-free business environment between countries, specifically: (1) Accelerating the adoption of renewable energy technologies in agriculture to promote sustainable agricultural practices by integrating renewable energy solutions, (2) Developing green and sustainable agricultural standards based on a zero-waste model to establish a set of standards ensuring environmentally friendly and sustainable agricultural practices, (3) Establishing sustainable multilateral trade partnerships to create long-term trade relationships consistent with deep international trade integration, supporting both local and international stakeholders, (4) Building a financial support framework for the entire supply chain to provide financial support and assistance throughout the agricultural supply chain, ensuring stability and development.

EDB, acting as a crucial bridge, will work with TTC AgriS to create synergistic values ​​globally, building on the long-standing strategic partnership between the two parties, thereby contributing to elevating the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Singapore. During the exchange, EDB recognized TTC AgriS as a reputable destination for prestigious financial institutions and a comprehensive platform for connecting in the field of sustainable agriculture, thanks to its proactive standardization of governance practices that meet international best practices and its shared commitment to sustainability in developing countries.

Leading experts and leaders from EDB, IFC, EY Vietnam, AWS, and TTC AgriS participated in a discussion session themed “Harnessing Innovation - Advancing Together” at TTC AgriS International Partner Day 2024.

Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My shared: “This is part of a series of collaborative activities with major strategic partners globally, creating a platform for science, technology, and agricultural economics, focusing on the economic aspects of sustainable agricultural development, aiming to strengthen and expand the role of TTC AgriS in the international market. From there, we aim to create a common playing field for stakeholders to participate in the sustainable agricultural economic value chain, creating synergy and promoting investment in the development of a circular economy.”

Creating a platform for multinational exchange and cooperation on circular agriculture.

In 2024, TTC AgriS marked its 55th anniversary of "Serving - Perfecting the Responsible Value Chain". Demonstrating an open and integrated vision in response to the need for green and sustainable development, especially as the international agricultural sector is undergoing significant transformations in "green finance," following expanding international best practices, TTC AgriS is proud to have the persistent and dedicated support of leading organizations participating in the TTC AgriS Value Chain on a common platform for exchange and deep connection in science, technology, and the circular economy, creating synergy and promoting sustainable development investment.

Successfully establishing progress in multinational cooperation, in late May 2024, TTC AgriS successfully organized the TTC AgriS International Partner Day, bringing together over 60 senior leaders from government agencies in Vietnam, Singapore, and Australia, along with TTC AgriS's strategic partners such as leading financial institutions, research institutes, policy development organizations, consulting firms, and major partners in the circular agriculture sector, etc. During the discussion session themed "Harnessing Innovation – Advancing Together" within the framework of the TTC AgriS International Partners Day, TTC AgriS, along with representatives from the Singapore government EDB, the leading financial institution IFC, and the technology consulting firm AWS, discussed the power of extensive global partnerships to promote national goals for the sustainable development of the international business community. Government support was also appreciated. Mr. Herman Loh, Senior Vice President and Director for Southeast Asia and Oceania; Middle East, South Asia and Africa of EDB, also highly appreciated TTC AgriS's commitment to expanding its multinational operations to become an important strategic partner in innovation for countries including Singapore.

Most recently, at the “Gateway to ASEAN” 2024 conference with the theme “ASEAN: Crossroad to The World – The Crossroads of Global Economic Integration”, held on September 6th in Ho Chi Minh City and organized by UOB Singapore (UOB), Ms. Uc My participated in the discussion session on “Innovation with Sustainability”, and presented numerous solutions on investment, business, sustainable development, and the implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) criteria based on successful practices at TTC AgriS and Betrimex – two leading high-tech agricultural enterprises in Vietnam.

Ms. Uc My, along with senior leaders from Coca-Cola Vietnam, DHL Express, Schneider Electric, and UOB Bank, participated in discussions on innovative and sustainable solutions.

Throughout its more than 55-year journey of formation and development, TTC AgriS has consistently adhered to its core "Green" business strategy, proactively transforming itself to pioneer and lead the sustainable agricultural economy based on an integrated smart agricultural economic model.
