Working Week 3, Session 6: Focus on question and answer activities

Today (November 6), the 15th National Assembly entered the 3rd working week of the 6th Session with many important contents, in which the focus was the question and answer activities of National Assembly deputies under the direction of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

Specifically, the National Assembly will spend 2.5 working days in the hall for questioning activities, starting from the morning of November 6 to the morning of November 8.

The question and answer session was broadcast live on Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam , and Vietnam National Assembly Television for voters and people nationwide to follow and monitor.

Due to the nature of the mid-term session, the questioning will not be conducted in groups of issues as in regular sessions but will be conducted in general. Accordingly, National Assembly deputies will question Government members regarding the implementation of a number of resolutions of the 14th National Assembly and from the beginning of the 15th National Assembly's term to the end of the 4th Session on thematic supervision and questioning.

For convenience and ease of monitoring, the questioning activities will be conducted in groups of fields including: general economic field group (planning and investment, finance, banking); sectoral economic field group (industry and trade, agriculture and rural development, transportation, construction, natural resources and environment); socio-cultural field group and defense, security, internal affairs, justice, and auditing field group.

In addition to the questioning session, the National Assembly will give opinions on a number of draft laws, including: Law on National Defense Industry, Security and Industrial Mobilization; Law on Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Property Auction; Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended); Law on Roads; Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety; Law on the Capital (amended); Law on Archives (amended).

At the same time, discuss the adjustment of some contents of Resolution 53/2017/QH14 dated November 24, 2017 of the National Assembly on the Feasibility Study Report of the Land Acquisition, Compensation, Support and Resettlement Project of Long Thanh International Airport; draft Resolution on piloting some specific mechanisms and policies on investment in construction of road traffic works; draft Resolution on applying additional corporate income tax according to regulations on preventing erosion of the global tax base.

Also during this working week, the National Assembly will vote to pass the Resolution on the 2024 Socio-Economic Development Plan, the Resolution on the 2024 State budget estimate, and the Resolution on the central budget allocation plan for 2024.
