Vietnam futsal team lost to Paraguay before going to Argentina

On the morning of June 9, the Vietnamese futsal team lost 0-2 to Paraguay in the final friendly match before going to Argentina to train for the 2024 Asian Futsal Championship qualifiers.

In this match, coach Giustozzi Diego Raul continued to test young players in different groups. This is to evaluate their ability and combination with the main players and find new options for the upcoming 2024 Asian Futsal Championship qualifiers.

Both the Vietnamese futsal team and Paraguay (ranked 9th in the world ) had scoring opportunities in the first half but failed to capitalize.

In the second half, the home team opened the scoring from a corner kick. In the final minutes, the Vietnamese futsal team played power play (without a goalkeeper) to find an equalizer. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Paraguay counterattacked and scored the winning goal, 2-0.

Thus, the Vietnamese futsal team ended their training trip in Paraguay with a draw (4-4) and two losses with scores of 2-3 and 0-2.

Present in Paraguay, Vice President of Vietnam Football Federation Tran Anh Tu presented a souvenir to the representative of Paraguay Football Federation.

After moving to Argentina, coach Giustozzi Diego Raul and his team will have three more friendly matches with the host country's futsal team on June 10, 12 and 14.

This is a very high-quality clash as Argentina is ranked fourth in the world and was crowned champion of the 2016 Futsal World Cup.
