U22 Vietnam still has 6 days before the match with U22 Malaysia (4pm on December 11) to compete for the top spot in Group B. During this long break, Coach Kim Sang-sik and his coaching staff said they will continue to improve their playing style, especially their ability to handle finishing situations. If they win, U22 Vietnam will have a ticket to the semi-finals of the 33rd SEA Games Men's Football.
During the training sessions, coach Kim Sang-sik gave a training plan with moderate exercise volume. The group of players who started against U22 Laos mainly practiced recovery and muscle relaxation, while the remaining group practiced more attacking and finishing coordination exercises.

Currently, midfielder Nguyen Xuan Bac, who was injured in the opening match, is staying at the hotel for gym and treatment. According to the team doctor, this player can return to training in the next 2-3 days.

Regarding the confrontation with U22 Malaysia - a match of great significance for the ambition to compete for the top spot in the group, the striker who has participated in the SEA Games twice, Quoc Viet, expressed his confidence: "I have played many times with Malaysia so I am very confident in the confrontation. The goal of U22 Vietnam is definitely 3 points."

He also added about the request from coach Kim Sang-sik: “The coach assigned me the task of trying my best and taking advantage of opportunities. As a striker, I have to score goals. I feel a bit regretful that I didn’t score in the first match, but I will try harder in the next match.”
