The Provincial People's Committee met to agree on a plan to assign management tasks for the Dinh River Downstream Dam project items.

The Dinh River Downstream Dam project was invested in and built with the aim of preventing saltwater intrusion due to the influence of tides on the land on both sides of the Dinh River, creating a freshwater reservoir with a capacity of about 3.5 million m3 to provide water for production and daily life of residents along both sides of the river. At the same time, providing additional water for industrial zones in the South of the province...

Comrade Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, after listening to the proposals of the sectors and localities, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agreed on the plan to assign the management tasks of the Dinh River downstream dam project items. Accordingly, for the water-raising dam, free spillway, gate and opening and closing equipment, combined boat lock and discharge sluice, shelter for gate lifting equipment, and lighting system on the bridge, the Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited will be assigned to receive and manage the operation. The road connecting the bridgehead on the An Hai commune side will be assigned to the Ninh Phuoc District People's Committee and the road connecting the bridgehead on the Tan Tai ward side will be assigned to the Phan Rang - Thap Cham City People's Committee. The comrade also requested the Department of Transport to promptly update and advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue regulations on a number of contents on decentralization of management and protection of road traffic infrastructure in the province.
