In the spring crop of 2024, Mr. Tran Huu Toan's family (Binh Quang village, Cam Binh commune, Cam Xuyen) produced 16 sao of rice of the same ST25 variety.
With this area, previously, Toan’s family had to mobilize forces, spending a whole week to plant seeds. However, this year, the planting went smoothly thanks to the application of mechanization in the production process.

Mr. Tran Huu Toan shared: “We farmers have never been as idle during the season as we are now. Implementing the linkage process in organic rice production, in recent days, the enterprise has arranged transplanting machines at the field, planting seeds simultaneously according to the crop schedule. We only need to pay for the service and the enterprise also creates conditions for farmers to pay late. At the end of the season, the enterprise committed to purchasing rice for the people, so we are very excited.”
Along with Mr. Toan's family, in the fields of Binh Quang village, Cam Binh commune, 26 households were also excited when the locality cooperated with enterprises to bring mechanization into production. This is the second year that Binh Quang villagers have applied the technology of transplanting trays to produce organic rice, so farmers understand very well the advantages of this technology. Not only freeing up labor, improving productivity and quality, transplanting trays to produce organic rice also helps people gradually improve the environment and contribute to protecting the health of producers and consumers.

In Cam Quang commune (Cam Xuyen), this spring, the locality also brought rice transplanters to the fields of village 4 to pilot production of 12 hectares of organic rice. On the large plot field, 4 Japanese Kubota rice transplanters ran smoothly but still ensured the planting distance. Wherever the machine ran, the rice was placed in straight rows. The rainy weather did not affect the planting progress. In just 2 days, the 12-hectare Bau Lang field of village 4, Cam Quang commune was completed.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Hien (village 4, Cam Quang commune, Cam Xuyen) shared: “Using the rice transplanter tray, we no longer have to sow rice seeds like before and also do not have to worry about pruning. Rice is planted in straight rows, in clumps, more beautiful than planting by hand. Not only does it reduce working days and free up labor, the transplanter also helps us save more seeds than direct sowing. In the first phase of the pilot implementation, the district supported us with 50% of the rice seedlings and 50% of the organic fertilizer. On average, people only have to spend 200,000 VND per sao to complete the planting.”
The tray transplanter helps farmers free up labor, reduce costs, and increase production efficiency.
According to the 2024 spring crop production project, Cam Xuyen district cooperated with Hoa Lac IEC Joint Stock Company (Thach Ha) to expand the organic rice production model using tray-planting technology with an area of 85 hectares; concentrated in the communes: Cam Binh, Yen Hoa, Nam Phuc Thang, Cam Quang, Cam Thanh, Cam Xuyen town.
Mr. Le Ngoc Ha - Vice Chairman of Cam Xuyen District People's Committee said: "With the model of linking with enterprises to produce rice in an organic direction using rice transplanting tray technology, people are provided with production inputs and guaranteed output of products. Thereby, the district promotes mechanization in planting to help farmers free up labor, reduce costs, increase production efficiency, and create high-quality organic rice products to serve the market. Along with implementing the organic rice production model, at this time, the locality also focuses on directing strongly, promoting production, striving to plant 9,560.1 hectares of spring rice in 2024".
