This was shared by Mr. Ha Anh Duc, Chief of Office of the Ministry of Health, at the press conference of the 31st National International Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition held on April 19 in Hanoi.

Mr. Duc emphasized that the application of smart devices in the field of care is the trend of the future, helping each person to monitor their health better. In addition, these devices also help experts have more databases for research.

"We will promote the application of artificial intelligence in early detection of abnormalities such as blood oxygen saturation, heart rate, etc., promptly reflecting patients at risk and having incidents. In many cases, these devices connect with specialized doctors and family doctors to help detect and promptly intervene in cardiovascular problems," Mr. Duc analyzed.

Mr. Duc assessed that with the participation of 550 booths of 350 enterprises from many countries in this year's international medical and pharmaceutical exhibition, it will be an opportunity for experts and people to have more information about pharmaceuticals and access to modern medical products serving health care.

Mr. Le Viet Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Drug Administration (Ministry of Health), also said that the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare is a very new field. Digital transformation is a focus of the healthcare sector, including the pharmaceutical sector.

The pharmaceutical industry will digitize data information on drugs circulating in Vietnam, update the pharmaceutical industry data bank, connect production facilities, wholesalers, retailers... nationwide, and deploy artificial intelligence applications in pharmaceutical activities.

"When this data information has been built synchronously, in the future it will help medical examination and treatment facilities predict the need for drugs, limiting drug shortages," said Mr. Dung.

The 31st National International Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition took place from May 9 to 12 in Hanoi. The main content of the exhibition is to introduce equipment, production lines, and new products related to the pharmaceutical and equipment fields.

The new point this year is digital transformation related products, smart devices applying 4.0 healthcare, connecting equipment with digital transformation applications.

The exhibition is an opportunity for domestic businesses to grasp new advances in technology and new equipment in the world, as well as establish partners to bring new technology into the country.

In addition, during the exhibition, the organizers also held seminars on AI and DATA applications in smart healthcare and digital healthcare, network device ecosystems, telemedicine, medical record management, hospitals, and long-term care development trends in Vietnam.
