Politburo member Nguyen Xuan Thang pays tribute to martyrs and gives gifts to Dien Bien policy families

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Political Bureau, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, and the delegation laid wreaths in remembrance of the heroic martyrs at the A1 Martyrs' Cemetery.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to families receiving preferential treatment in Dien Bien Phu City, including: war invalid Nguyen Thanh Mai (64% disability), Mrs. Nguyen Thi Beu - who contributed to raising martyrs during the resistance war, veteran Lam Quoc Minh who participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign and veteran Pham Duc Cu who participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign, both residing in Nam Thanh ward; and wounded soldier Mai Trong Kuong, residential group 2, Thanh Binh ward.

The delegation observed a minute of silence in remembrance of the heroic martyrs at the A1 Martyrs' Cemetery.

During his visit to present gifts to families receiving preferential treatment, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang cordially inquired about their health and living conditions and expressed deep gratitude for the great sacrifices and contributions made by these families, including war invalids, veterans, and those who have rendered meritorious service to the peace , independence, and freedom of the nation. He requested that local authorities and organizations continue to pay attention to, care for, and effectively implement policies for families receiving preferential treatment and those who have rendered meritorious service in the area.

Deeply moved by the concern and encouragement of Politburo member Nguyen Xuan Thang and the delegation, the wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution affirmed that they will always uphold their family traditions, encourage their children and grandchildren to abide by the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations; strive to excel in their work and develop their family's economy; and actively participate in patriotic emulation movements in the locality, contributing to building a more developed and prosperous Dien Bien province.
