In the process of fundamental and comprehensive innovation of highereducation , the development and implementation of public service culture plays a key role, contributing to the creation of a professional, responsible and humane working environment. Deeply aware of this importance, on May 28, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) organized a symposium on "Public service culture in the context of current innovation of higher education", attracting the participation of a large number of staff and employees of the school.
Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Suu, Deputy Director of the Academy of Public Administration and Management, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics shared many profound contents at the Conference.
The conference aims to create a space for experts, officials and employees of the school to share and exchange views and perspectives on public service culture, while identifying challenges and proposing practical solutions to build a modern public service culture, suitable for the requirements of the new era at HaUI.
The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hong Quan - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the School Council; Dr. Nguyen Van Thien - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Principal; Dr. Nguyen Van Thien - Vice Principal along with managers of units and nearly 500 officials and employees of the School.
In his opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien - Vice President of HaUI - emphasized the need to build a transparent and democratic working environment, ensuring professionalism, responsibility, dynamism and efficiency. Hanoi University of Industry is implementing solutions to build a modern, humane and happy University in line with the goal of innovating university governance, creating a foundation for the sustainable development of the University.

The highlight of the conference was the in-depth presentation by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Suu - Deputy Director of the Academy of Public Administration and Management, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. The speaker emphasized that in the context of the Party and State setting out many directions and tasks for building and perfecting the socialist rule-of-law state, with four pillars of institutions, science and technology, international cooperation and private economic development to create a breakthrough in the country's development in the new era.
Whether it is a country or an agency or organization, the development goals and strategies cannot be separated from those important pillars. To successfully implement, it is necessary to synchronously and strongly implement many solutions. In the immediate future, it is necessary to promote the implementation of the overall administrative reform program towards building a streamlined, democratic, modern, professional, dynamic, transparent, and effective administration. In which, building, implementing and improving the Public Service Culture plays a key role in the key tasks.
The speaker opened up many multi-dimensional perspectives on public service culture, emphasizing the nature of culture is to aim for good values, for the benefit of individuals, collectives and more broadly the community and nation. In public service activities, especially in the educational environment, the human factor must be put first.
All regulations and decisions must be developed and implemented to ensure the rule of law, but also need to be carefully considered in the spirit of humanity, empathy, understanding and for the people, avoiding mechanical responses that can cause harm or unnecessary consequences for people.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Suu also particularly emphasized professional ethics and academic integrity in the public service culture of higher education institutions. Each lecturer and scientist needs to be responsible for their work, learn, improve their expertise and maintain honesty in research as well as teaching.
In the context of strong development of information technology and artificial intelligence (AI), maintaining core values becomes more and more important, helping educators adapt without being dependent, and at the same time properly orienting the student generation, especially Gen Z.
The speaker emphasized the culture of behavior and responsibility towards individuals and groups, so that each official, employee, and student can accompany, share, create trust and pride when talking about HaUI, their second home; together preserve and develop the cultural identity of a university with a 127-year tradition, for the development of a leading prestigious university brand in Vietnam.
