On the morning of September 24, 2024, the second Friendship Dialogue Conference of 2024, themed “Industrial Transformation: Development Experiences and Cooperation Priorities,” was held. The program was attended by leaders from Ho Chi Minh City, ministries, departments, and agencies, as well as leaders from neighboring provinces, and nearly 40 leaders from provinces, cities, and diplomatic missions around the world, including the United States, China, Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Singapore, Laos, etc. The program was chaired by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs, and sponsored by the Doi Dep brand.

The exquisite Vietnamese national tea art program opened the 2nd Friendship Dialogue Conference.

With a spirit of friendship and cooperation, Tea Culture participates in this program as a conduit and link to promote international economic and diplomatic development, through which we not only achieve common goals but also build a better future for humanity, one of peace and prosperity.

At the conference, for the first time, distinguished delegates and guests from both domestic and international backgrounds had the opportunity to fully and meaningfully experience the cultural story of tea through the art program "Vietnamese National Tea - The Quintessence of Vietnamese Tea Culture". Distinguished guests from around the world experienced a tea-tasting space in the tea island area and five tea-drinking spaces. Here, delegates connected with Vietnamese tea culture, watching how tea masters brew delicious teas from premium teas meticulously prepared by the tea artisans of the Doi Dep Tea brand, such as: Dai Hoang Bao, Bat Thu Dong Phong, Bach Tra Ngu Sac, Bich Thuy Hoan Nguyen, Ngoc Trac Tra, Bat Thu Dong Phong, Phong Mat Tra, Hoang Ty Nhat Minh... These are all precious teas favored by tea connoisseurs as "Tribute Teas".

But that's not all; for the first time, Vietnam is presenting to international friends a unique tea ceremony art program through Vietnamese tea culture, consisting of three parts:

Chapter 1: The Legend of Viet Tra

The program recreates historical stories, featuring the teacup from the Hung King era, linked to the legend of Truong Chi playing the flute on the Tieu Thuong River. Through this, the program profoundly portrays the connection between tea culture and the national spirit.

Chapter 2: The Five Styles of Vietnamese Tea

This exhibition showcases five typical Vietnamese tea-drinking practices, symbolizing five qualities: simplicity, authenticity, aesthetics, temperament, and wisdom. The diversity in tea-drinking methods reflects the richness and depth of Vietnamese tea culture.

Chapter 3: The Soul of Vietnamese Tea

For Vietnamese people, tea is not just a beverage but also a cultural treasure. The Bảo Lộc region of Lâm Đồng province has preserved the soul of the land intertwined with the soul of its people, a tradition maintained and developed through generations to create unique and irreplaceable tea varieties, leading viewers to profound insights into Vietnamese cultural identity.

In addition, the Organizing Committee, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and the Doi Dep brand presented international guests with a limited edition gift set called "Cuu Nguyet Tea" - one of Vietnam's ten most famous teas, a symbol of elegance, peace, and connection. The gift set includes premium tea varieties from Doi Dep. Through this special "Cuu Nguyet Tea" gift set, it's clear that tea is a conduit and connector between Vietnam and international friends. A delicious cup of tea encapsulates the essence of Vietnamese tea culture. Strangers from all over the world can easily share stories and connect through a cup of tea. The Doi Dep brand boldly takes challenging steps, embracing the ups and downs of the Vietnamese tea industry to elevate the value of Vietnamese tea in promoting international economic and diplomatic relations.

Along with the rich and distinctive flow of national culture, Vietnamese tea culture is continuously preserved and expanded, integrating and spreading to friends around the world. Recently, within the framework of the Miss Cosmo World competition taking place in Vietnam, international contestants had the opportunity to experience and showcase Vietnamese traditional ao dai in the setting of Vietnam's oldest tea factory.

The 1927 Tea Factory – one of the oldest surviving tea factories – boasts a moss-covered structure and machinery up to 80 years old that may no longer be relevant today. However, these are not inanimate objects; they are witnesses to time, evidence of the tea industry's development, and a source of pride for the tea production industry in Lam Dong province in particular and Vietnam in general. Considered a tea museum of Vietnam, the Doi Dep brand has been preserving and maintaining these cultural landmarks for future generations.

Through these activities, Vietnamese tea culture is not only celebrated but also becomes a symbol of peace, stability, cooperation, and development. Through this, Vietnam conveys its age-old dream of a peaceful world where cultural identity is shared and embraced in friendship.
