Recently, athlete Supanich Poolkerd participated in the final of the women's 100m athletics event at the 19th Asian Games.
Athlete Supanich Poolkerd lost to her opponent simply because of her small bust size.
Notably, she finished only 4th and missed out on the bronze medal, trailing her closest competitor, Saad Al Kaldi, by 0.006 seconds.
At the moment of crossing the finish line, the referees determined that Saad Al Kaldi's upper body had crossed the line before Supanich Poolkerd.
Following this bitter defeat, the Thai athlete admitted that she lost to her opponent simply because of her smaller bust.
"If you've tried your best in a competition, there's no need to regret a defeat. I was very upset when I lost to my opponent by 0.006 seconds because my bust was smaller than hers."
"But anyway, I've overcome my own limitations. Thank you everyone for always being there for me, following and supporting me," Supanich Poolkerd wrote on his personal page.
At the 19th Asian Games, despite high expectations for athletics, Thailand only managed to win two silver medals thanks to Puripol Boonson (100m race) and the 4x100m relay team.
Following the team's poor performance, the President of the Athletics Federation of Thailand, Sant Sarutanond, has decided to resign.
"I take full responsibility for the disappointing performance of Thai athletics. At this point, I have no choice but to step down from my position as President of the Thai Athletics Federation."
"I hope that everyone will quickly find a more suitable person. I also announce my withdrawal from the Thai Olympic Committee," Sant Sarutanond stated.
