After many days of exploration and discovery, domestic and international experts have discovered the length of the longest volcanic cave (VC) in Southeast Asia in Krong No District, Dak Nong Province.

Accordingly, during the survey of C7 cave - the longest cave in Southeast Asia, the expert groups discovered a number of new branches; at the same time, they discovered an additional 175 meters of the cave's length. With this new discovery, the length of C7 cave increased to 1,240 meters. This will be a valuable source of scientific data for the international heritage, supplementing the upcoming re-evaluation dossier.

The Krong No Basin is a system of basalt basins about 10 km long, which has set a record for its scale, length and uniqueness in Southeast Asia, and was discovered by scientists in 2014.

HĐNL is considered to be still wild and has many mysteries that need to be explored and learned.

During the survey and research of the cave system, scientists discovered traces of prehistoric tribes living about 6,000 - 7,000 years ago. In September 2018, scientists announced the discovery of traces of prehistoric human habitation. Previously, only the volcanic cave system in Korea in the world had discovered traces of human habitation.
