Tri An is an artificial lake located on the Dong Nai River, spanning the districts of Vinh Cuu, Dinh Quan, Thong Nhat, and Trang Bom (Dong Nai province), with an area of over 32,000 hectares.
Located about 70km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, Tri An Lake not only attracts tourists from within the province but also draws thousands of young people from Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong , and Binh Phuoc to enjoy the scenery and have fun every weekend.
Particularly in Vinh Cuu district, Tri An Lake borders the Dong Nai Cultural and Natural Reserve. The vast lake, spanning thousands of hectares, and the expansive forests create an extremely picturesque "forest above, lake below" landscape.
Visitors can enjoy activities such as SUP paddling, cycling, jogging, fishing, kite flying, and camping, as well as savoring local specialties, especially seafood caught from Tri An Lake.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, experiential tourism boomed, and Tri An Lake quickly became a favorite destination for young people. In the early days of April, when the heat was scorching, thousands of young people and families flocked to Tri An Lake to escape the heat.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Minh Thu (27 years old, residing in Ho Chi Minh City) said she really likes the pristine scenery of Tri An Lake. She has visited it many times with her group of friends. According to Ms. Thu, Tri An Lake is only a little over an hour's motorbike ride from Ho Chi Minh City, and getting there is quite easy. The cost of a trip there is also quite affordable.
"What I enjoy most is watching the bright red sun cast its reflection on the lake every afternoon. The scenery is so beautiful and peaceful. Every time I come here, all the stress and fatigue seem to disappear," Thư confided.
Like Thu, many young people from Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces also choose Tri An Lake as a vacation spot to escape the heat and "heal" after a tiring week of work.
Leaving Vinh An town (Vinh Cuu district) and following Provincial Road 767 to Hieu Liem, Ma Da, and Phu Ly communes, the road is paved, winding, and the areas on both sides are still quite undeveloped.
The expansive lake and cool forests create ideal conditions to attract tourists from the city seeking refuge from the heat every weekend.
Besides lakeside tourism, visitors can also drive through the vast forests in the Dong Nai Cultural and Natural Reserve.
The road stretches for tens of kilometers through the forest, lined with vibrant red bougainvillea flowers.
The peaceful scenery is loved by many young people.
Many families choose to visit Tri An Lake for tourism and experiences every weekend.
