Welcoming Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister Arif Havas Oegroseno to visit Vietnam, Permanent Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu said that the visit is of great significance in the context of the two countries upgrading their relations to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Indonesia diplomatic relations (December 30, 1955 - December 30, 2025) during the State visit to Indonesia by General Secretary To Lam .
Affirming that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to develop the Vietnam-Indonesia relationship to become more substantive and effective, Permanent Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu expressed his delight at the recent strong development of the Vietnam-Indonesia relationship; suggested that the two sides continue to coordinate in building an Action Program to implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, support businesses in implementing trade promotion activities, import and export, create favorable conditions for businesses of the two countries to invest in each other's markets, and further expand cooperation in other potential areas such as energy, science and technology, and maritime cooperation.
Appreciating Indonesia's role in ASEAN, Permanent Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu suggested that the two countries continue to closely coordinate, support each other, and contribute to preserving solidarity, strengthening ASEAN's autonomy and central role.
Thanking Permanent Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu for taking the time to meet him, Deputy Minister Arif Havas Oegroseno emphasized that the recent visit of General Secretary To Lam and his wife to Indonesia had special significance, bringing the relationship between the two countries into a new stage of development, increasingly deeper, more substantial and effective, affirming that he will actively coordinate with relevant agencies of Vietnam to effectively implement the results of the visit.

Deputy Minister Oegroseno affirmed that the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to closely coordinate with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to prepare for the upcoming visits and meetings of the two countries' senior leaders; promote cooperation between the two countries in all fields, especially trade, investment, energy and maritime cooperation; strengthen solidarity, enhance ASEAN's autonomy and central role, maintain the momentum of building the Community and implementing the goals and priorities stated in the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP), and maintain ASEAN's solidarity and principled stance on the East Sea issue.
At the talks, the two sides discussed the world and regional situation; agreed to strengthen policy coordination on international and regional issues of mutual concern and support each other at multilateral forums, actively contributing to peace, stability and development of the region.
